Zurkon Jr. is a minor character appearing in Rift Apart from Rivet's dimension. He is a dimensional counterpart of the Zurkon Jr. of Ratchet and Clank's dimensional, and shares the same name, likeness and personality of his counterpart, but leads a different life.
Zurkon Jr. is the beloved son of Zurkie and Ms. Zurkon, working at the Zurkon family business, Zurkie's. He waiters patrons, but is also the mastermind of Zurkie's Battleplex, and narrates descriptions of weapons for Ms. Zurkon's vendor business. In contrast to his pacifist father, Zurkon Jr. craves carnage and violence.

Before Rift Apart[]

Zurkon Jr., along with his parents, were once elite synthenoid weapons. Zurkie changed his ways after the destruction of planet Scartsu, and established Zurkie's in the Scarstu Debris Field.[1] Ms. Zurkon started selling weapons as a side business, hoping to fund Zurkon Jr.'s hopes of studying existential economics at Bogon University,[2] and Zurkon Jr. opened the arena at Zurkie's for those "still thirsty for pain",[1] harboring some resentment for his father disallowing violence at the pub.[3]
At some point, Zurkon Jr. raided the remnants of the Destructapalooza on the planet Kragg of his dimension, and recovered the remains of the Mangler, repairing it and adding enhancements of his own to allow it to move around his Battleplex arena using jet boosters.[4]
Mr. Fungi performed at Zurkon Jr.'s last birthday party at some point before Rift Apart.[5]
Rift Apart[]
During the events of Rift Apart, Zurkon Jr. provided commentary on the battles at his Battleplex, took patron orders at tables in his father's Gastropub,[3] and provided commentary on videos about the weapons sold at Ms. Zurkon's vendors.
Due to the developing dimensional catastrophe caused by the destruction of the Dimensionator, Zurkon Jr. took advantage of it in his battleplex, using rifts to bring in hordes of enemies into the arena. This included undead skeletal creatures from a nightmare dimension, such as an undead grunthor he named Sue, that became a major combatant in the arena.[6]

In the end credits, Zurkie, Ms. Zurkon and Zurkon Jr. are seen together at their Battleplex, amongst the wreckage of a large pile of destroyed Nefarious Troopers. All three of them are seen brandishing their arm-mounted blasters, implying they destroyed the Troopers together.

Zurkon Jr. is physically identical to his counterpart, aside from more often having both hands, rather than a blaster on his right arm.
In contrast to his father, who has become a pacifist, Zurkon Jr. craves carnage and violence.[7] He has stated his ASMR trigger is the sound of frozen amoeboids being destroyed with hammers.[8] He also shows some resentment at the pub's anti-violence rules, urging its patrons to start fights or to enter the arena.[3] Zurkon Jr. is somewhat reckless in the arena, favoring preserving the aesthetic of his battles over the safety of the arena's participants.[9]
