Zurkon Jr., referring to himself often as Little Zurkon,[1][2] is a synthenoid appearing as a weapon upgrade in Into the Nexus and Ratchet & Clank (2016 game). Manufactured by GrummelNet, Zurkon Jr. is a robot with a distinct personality, related to his parents, Mr. Zurkon and Mrs. Zurkon.
In Rift Apart, an alternate dimension counterpart of Zurkon Jr. appears in Rivet's dimension as a character who runs an arena.
Characteristics[]
Zurkon Jr. is a smaller synthenoid than Mr. Zurkon, with only a single eye and a blaster on his right arm.
Zurkon Jr. shares personality traits with Mr. Zurkon in sadistic humor, protecting Ratchet (who he similarly refers to as a "measly furball"), and referring to himself in the third person. He seeks his father's approval in wanting to be a murderous robot like him, stating the only school he attends is the "school for cracking skulls" where he is a valedictorian, having decided to major in "killing", with a minor in "pain". Zurkon Jr. also asks his father for ice cream, milk, and cookies.[2]
Gameplay[]
Zurkon Jr. first appears as a level 2 upgrade in Into the Nexus, where he fights alongside his father and the weapon is renamed to "Zurkon Jr.". At level 3, the weapon is renamed to "Zurkon Family" as Zurkon Jr. appears alongside both his father and Mrs. Zurkon. In Ratchet & Clank, Zurkon Jr. is the level 5 upgrade of Mr. Zurkon, and can be upgraded to the Omega Zurkon Jr.
