Yurik[1] is a character in A Crack in Time. A fongoid of Gimlick Valley, Morklon, Yurik, a child at the time of the Battle of Gimlick Valley, was a historian who told visitors in the present day about the battle that took place ten years earlier.[2]
Ratchet and Clank met Yurik when they arrived on Morklon after being exiled there by Dr. Nefarious. After Yurik taught them the history of the battle, Clank had the idea to contact Sigmund to activate a time portal in a nearby time rift to restore Gimlick Valley.[3]

In "Free Zahn Gribnak", Ratchet and Clank met Yurik in the past, where he directed them to free Chief Gribnak.[2][1] Yurik mistook Clank for a "talking lunchbox." Yurik introduced Gribnak to Ratchet,[1] and together, Ratchet and Gribnak defeated Lornock Argos and changed the course of history.

In the present day, Yurik, no longer remembering Ratchet and Clank, prepared for a reenactment of the Battle of Gimlick Valley, in which the fongoids had won. Yurik allowed them to borrow the now-restored agorian space cruiser (which they had intended to use for the reenactment) if they restored its power with battery bots.[4]
