===Powers, abilities, and weapons===

Victor's favored weapons were his Negotiator rocket launcher, a wrist energy beam, and a built in pair of [[Razor Claws]], although their color and size more closely resembled the [[Razor Talons]]. He was also a proficient pilot with his death ship. However, he had one massive weakness, water was capable of damaging him, and if it went inside him it would short circuit and destroy him.

History

Victor using the Negotiator

Victor was first seen on the Deplanetizer, enforcing rules among Drek's other blarg, such as punishing the blarg Stanley for texting while Drek was explaining his plans. After Drek planned to wipe out the Galactic Rangers to stop them from interfering with his plans, Victor questioned how he could attack the Rangers with no army.[1] As such, Drek introduced Victor to Dr. Nefarious' warbot army on Quartu, which would invade Kerwan and destroy the Rangers. However, during the demonstration, one of the warbots was a defect, Clank. Drek instructed Victor to destroy the defect, and though Clank managed to escape the planet, Victor fired a Negotiator rocket at his shuttle, causing him to crash land on Veldin and not reach Kerwan.

Victor during the attack of the Hall of Heroes

Victor led Drek's assault on the Hall of Heroes on Kerwan, though he was forced to retreat when Ratchet and Clank destroyed the Class G Dreadship by hijacking a taxi.[1] Much later, when the Galactic Rangers attacked the Deplanetizer, Drek sent Victor to destroy them with his best death ship, another Class G Dreadship, and Ratchet engaged Victor in a dogfight outside the station, and destroyed the ship.[2] This led Victor to attack the Starship Phoenix in the attempts to kill Clank, though Clank managed to use the ships' Fire Suppression System to stop Victor with water shortly before Victor could kill Clank. A memorial was later created for Victor on board the Deplanetizer, though each of the blarg played on their phones during the funeral, causing Drek to eject them out of the airlock.[1]

Victor, hunting Clank

Victor was a large, red warbot with a broad upper body and a protruding jaw, giving him an intimidating appearance. He wielded a Negotiator rocket launcher, had a built in pair of Razor Claws, and a wrist energy beam. He also piloted a death ship. Drek thought very highly of Victor, and he was a high-ranking officer. He was vengeful of Clank for escaping his grasp, and largely focused on catching up to him and destroying him. Victor was weak to water, as water entering his robotic body could cause it to short circuit.

Behind the scenes

In the movie, Victor is voiced by Sylvester Stallone, and in the game, he is voiced by Mark Silverman.

The holocards in the game imply that Victor Von Ion's first appearance was in "Ratchet & Clank (2002)", suggesting he is a replacement for the original Robot Lieutenant from the original Ratchet & Clank. Victor bears a few similarities to the Robot Lieutenant in appearance, and both are robot enforcers for Drek, though they have otherwise very different roles in the story. While the original Robot Lieutenant was incompetent, fearful of Drek, and looked down on by him, Victor is instead respected by Drek and ranks higher. Likewise, the Robot Lieutenant in the original was never defeated, and rather ran before fighting Ratchet and Clank, while Victor is defeated by Clank and killed afterwards.
