Undead goons are warriors from a nightmare dimension, where the living dead are common. They are the nightmare dimension's counterparts to the Goons-4-Less.

Undead goon variants of the goon infantry, goon rusher and zoom goon all appear as enemies in Rift Apart.

History[]

Rift Apart[]

Due to Emperor Nefarious' continued misuse of the Dimensionator, the walls between dimensions became increasingly weakened, allowing malicious skeletal creatures, resembling the Goons-4-Less from a nightmare dimension to begin breaking into Rivet's universe, dubbed by Ratchet as bone goons. They are undead warriors that are happy to be dead and eager to share that joy with anyone they meet. The undead goons are fought during Ratchet's night-time revisit to planet Savali to find the Dimensional Map before the Emperor. He encounters undead goon infantry, undead goon rushers and undead zoom goons. With the help of the Savali monks, Ratchet was able to assist in sealing the tears in dimensions that the armies of undead goons were emerging from. During the night-time revisit to Savali is the only time the undead goon infantry are encountered.

The undead goon rushers and undead zoom goons are also fought by Rivet at Zurkie's Battleplex during the Gold Cup challenge "Manglers Are Forever", along with undead sandsharks.

Characteristics[]

Undead Bone Goon Rift Apart

Undead goon art.

The undead goons enjoy being dead, and so aim to kill others to make them the same as they are. They are rather maliciously evil and extremely violent, attacking anything they see whilst laughing. The bone goons do not appear to possess much intelligence at all, even compared to their living counterparts and do not ever speak. A burning blue flame is contained within their skeletal abdomens, which appears to be their lifeforce holding their bone bodies together. Once they are defeated, their skeletal bodies fall apart and this flame is extinguished, as well as their glowing red eyes.

Combat[]

In-game they are classified as "Goons-4-Less" type enemies.

The three types of undead goons fight the same was as their living counterparts, however as their appearance suggests, they are much more dangerous than their traditionally-living counterparts, having more health, inflicting more damage and increased ferocity, and with quicker attacks. The undead goons function as the "upgraded" version of the Goon-4-Less faction units, similar to how the Nefarious Troopers get upgraded forms around halfway into the events of Rift Apart. For all their power, they have one major weakness; weapons with knockback effects like the Enforcer and Pixelizer will instantly blast them apart into a pile of bones, they more than make up for this weakness in sheer numbers however. The undead goon rushers will pop out of the ground in large numbers and swarm Ratchet on Savali, attacking with rusty hammers at great speed and laughing maliciously as they do so. They only attack with hammers and are never seen using swords or both like their living counterparts. The undead versions of the goon infantry and zoom goons fire blue lasers from their blasters instead of red like their living counterparts.
