[[Ratchet]] and [[Clank]] decided that these robots had to be destroyed, and they enlisted the help of the Giant Mech Scientist. He too sought to destroy the monsters he had unwillingly created for [[Chairman Drek]]. The Scientist used the device to turn Clank into [[Giant Clank]], making Clank an even match for the Ultra-Mechs. Using his new arsenal of weapons and brute strength, Clank destroyed all of the Ultra-Mechs, once again interfering with [[Chairman Drek]]'s plans for galactic domination.

History

Hmm... was it pi over infinity or..

Ratchet and Clank meeting the Ultra-Mech Scientist.

The Ultra-Mech Scientist was originally contracted to re-engineer his enlarging machine to create heavily armed robots, unaware that Chairman Drek was involved. Upon learning of Drek's involvement, he aimed instead to destroy it.[1] Instead, Clank offered to enlarge himself, and the Ultra-Mech scientist gave him the mission "Destroy the Ultra-Mechs". After destroying them, the Ultra-Mech scientist recalibrated the controls of the device to only allow for Clank's circuit pattern,[2] presumably ending production on the Ultra-Mechs, and gave them an infobot with coordinates for Kalebo III.
