Tyhrranoids appear as enemies in Secret Agent Clank, fought by Ratchet as inmates of the Prison Planet. Two variants of these tyhrranoids appear: the standard one-eyed tyhrranoids, and a larger, mega variant of it, with the same body shape but orange-pink skin, a larger frame, and three eyes rather than one (although they are distinct from the three-eyed tyhrranoids Ratchet had previously fought in Up Your Arsenal). The mega variant appears in all mega challenges in each of the Prison Planet's areas, while the standard variants appear in all versions.

These tyhrranoids each wear a prison uniform. Unlike the one-eyed tyhrranoids Ratchet previously fought from Up Your Arsenal, they typically attack by curling into a ball and rolling toward Ratchet, though they also use their standard bite.
In the PlayStation Portable version of Secret Agent Clank, the standard tyhrranoid prisoners are identical to the one-eyed tyhrranoid from Up Your Arsenal in appearance. In the PlayStation 2 port, the standard tyhrranoids also have three eyes similar to the mega variant, while the mega variant has the same skin color as the normal variant, up until the exercise yard.
Combat[]
Standard tyhrranoids have low toughness and deal little damage on their own, and their main strength is in numbers: if too many roll toward Ratchet at once, they can overwhelm him. The Dual Lacerators are quite effective, due to their ability to target multiple enemies at the same time. Other weapons acquired later with an area-of-effect are also helpful.
The mega variant has a superior roll attack: it can charge itself up, and roll toward Ratchet much faster, making it a more notable threat that must be jumped over to avoid. Mega variants are otherwise not much of a true threat provided they don't get a chance to start a charged roll. The Shard Gun is useful in slowing them down significantly, but later on the Mine Launcher can be used to deal with them preemptively, or the Shock Rocket to kill them before they can reach you.
