The troglosaur[1] is a species in Tools of Destruction and Rift Apart, with mentions in A Crack in Time and Into the Nexus. It is a large, sauropoda dinosaur-like creature native to Sargasso, and to the dimensional counterpart in Rivet's dimension. They are docile, peaceful, herbivorous creatures, which are immense, with an average weight of twenty-one tons, and can be seen from space.[1] The creatures use tentacles on their heads to grab leaves and fruit from trees.
In Tools of Destruction, Ratchet and Clank came across a few troglosaurs while exploring Outpost L51, and could land onto their backs using Robo-Wings. In Into the Nexus, a troglosaur exhibit was seen in the Natural History Wing of the Intergalactic Museum of History on Igliak. In Rift Apart, a few troglosaurs appeared in Megalopolis when the Dimensionator began malfunctioning, and many more were later seen around Sargasso in Rivet's dimension.
Both the Hyperflux armor[2] and Thug armor[3] used troglosaur hide in the material.

Early artwork for Tools of Destruction showed the troglosaur was originally called the 'scopulosaurus' that possessed six legs instead of four and had six eyes. The troglosaurs of Rivet's dimension partially re-use this design; having six legs.
If you landed on all five of the troglosaurs' heads in Tools of Destruction, you would receive the "Head Examiner" skill point.
