Tremors[1] are enemies in Deadlocked. They are bipedal gladiator aliens fought in DreadZone. Ratchet fought them throughout his early time at DreadZone, first in the Marauder Tournament, and later on Kronos, and subsequently most other tournaments. Their physiology closely resembles one of the Exterminators, Eviscerator, whom they accompany in the "Eviscerator Battle".

Characteristics[]

Though having a humanoid shape, they have a notably insectoid-like physiology, with spikes on their shoulders and chest, three bug-like eyes, pincers on their mouths, and a blade-like appendage on their arm. They attack by charging towards their opponents, running at fairly quick speeds, before taking a swipe at their target in close combat with their arm blades. From the Avenger Tournament and onwards they also utilize long-ranged shockwave attacks by slamming their blade into the ground.

Combat[]

Tremors are dangerous due to their running speed and their quick melee attacks. Up to the Avenger Tournament they rely on melee attacks, and often appear in groups, making the Magma Cannon the most useful counter, alongside the B6-Obliterator with the Napalm Mod. The Holoshield Launcher is also effective in blocking them entirely. Tremors generally should be prioritized when fought in conjunction with other enemies, such as DZ Strikers. Later on when they rely on shockwave attacks they become more of a real threat, as the shockwave attack is quick and can sometimes be hard to see coming. In such cases the Magma Cannon is likely still reliable, but sometimes the Scorpion Flail and Hunter Mine Launcher are also appropriate weapons of choice.
