Tools of Destruction features three types of vendors, managed by GrummelNet Industries. All ammunition, devices, and armor sales throughout the Polaris Galaxy are made with GrummelNet vendors. Their devices and armor vendors are manned physically by the grummel clones, while the weapons vendor interfaces with a grummel remotely. All vendors have a similar design, with a flat oblate shape, floating slightly above the ground, and popping open if a customer approaches. Like all vendors, they take bolts as their currency, but also for the first time in the series, they offer weapon upgrades in exchange for raritanium.

Raritanium upgrades are permanent minor modifications. These include improving a simple base stat such as ammo, damage, range, rate of fire, area of effect, and bolt or raritanium drop rates, as well as a handful of extra unique upgrades specific to only four weapons. Each weapon also has an additional more expensive and unique upgrade that includes an additional upgrade, often akin to power and capability of those acquired at V5.
Only the RYNO IV has no special upgrade.
Pricing[]
Ratchet starts by default with the Combuster and Fusion Grenade, and will automatically acquire the Shock Ravager in Stratus City on Kortog, and the Alpha Disruptor in Outpost L51 on Sargasso. The RYNO IV has to be acquired from the Smuggler by trading in all thirteen holo-plans. The Smuggler also sells Ratchet the Gyro-cycle for 5,000 bolts.
All prices below are listed in bolts, except for 'total upgrade cost', which is in raritanium.
