Tools of Destruction has a total of 55 skill points to be completed. There are several that can be completed anywhere, and many that are specific to each location. Skill points are used to unlock cheats in the Extras menu. Each skill point is worth points, with most being worth 10, up to 750 for all of them combined. These points successively unlock more cheats.
Skill points[]
In-game descriptions are not completely accurate as to how to actually acquire a skill point. Skill points tied to a planet have to also actually be completed on that planet.

Cobalia[]
A Smashing Good Time[]
"A Smashing Good Time" is obtained by destroying all of the crates and consumer robots within the Cobalia spaceport. This does not include the wilderness area, but does include the platform with the gold bolt at the front, and the gelatonium plant's interior. None of the crates will respawn, other than the ammo crates.
I Should Have Gone Down in a Barrel[]
"I Should Have Gone Down in a Barrel" is obtained by respawning within each of the only two rooms where you can 'drown' within the gel rivers and waterfalls. Simply jump into the gel, drown, respawn, and repeat this in the other room.
Giant Hunter[]
"Giant Hunter" is obtained by slaying all three basilisk leviathans on Cobalia. The first leviathan is automatically fought as part of "Defeat the Leviathan", and the other two are part of the optional mission "Hunt for Leviathan Souls".
Kortog[]
Wrench Ninja 3[]
"Wrench Ninja 3" is obtained by clearing the city and docks segment by only using the OmniWrench 3000. These areas are traversed during "Escape Tachyon's Forces" and "Swing through the Docks". Gadgets like the Swingshot and Gelanator are allowed, but not any weapon nor devices. The Charge Boots help with bypassing the enemies, as does having a high nanotech level to be able to take more hits. The biggest help is to attempt this after completing all the missions, as the most dangerous enemy, the drophyd cyclocannons, do not respawn. Note that to actually trigger the skill point you will also have to swing your wrench at least once.
The name "Wrench Ninja 3" is a reference to the skill points Wrench Ninja: Blade to Blade and Wrench Ninja II: Massacre from Going Commando.
We Don't Need No Stinkin' Bridges![]
"We Don't Need No Stinkin' Bridges!" is obtained by bypassing the tri-pad sequence in "Swing through the Docks" with the Gelanator. Use the gadget to create a triple stacked gel cube at the edge of the circular platform, then jump and glide to the other side.
Surface-to-Air Plasma Beasts[]
"Surface-to-Air Plasma Beasts" is obtained by destroying three Tachyon gunships with Plasma Beasts (or Plasma Stalker). There are plenty of gunships within Stratus City, and they are easily destroyed with upgraded Plasma Beasts.
Been Around[]
"Been Around" is obtained by taking off from each of the eleven launch pads for the Robo-Wings gadget. Each pad is marked on the minimap, and all have to be used in one attempt without any deaths.
Voron Asteroid Belt[]
Collector's Addition[]
"Collector's Addition" is obtained by destroying all ten cargo containers. The first three come one by one directly after the first battle cruiser, and the next three are passed by while flying above the asteroid belt. The next two appear briefly when skipping between the asteroid ring and the moon, directly prior to going through the nanotech induction rings. The final two appear directly after the small minefield after exiting the asteroid belt while controlling the turret with Clank. You will receive the skill point after defeating the boss.
Minesweeper[]
"Minesweeper" is obtained by destroying at least ten mines. The biggest minefield is while flying directly through the asteroid belt, with a smaller one appearing as you exit while controlling the turret with Clank.
What's That, R2?[]
"What's That, R2" is obtained by performing ten barrel rolls with the Aphelion by using the and buttons.
Mukow[]
I Think I'm Gonna Be Sick[]
"I Think I'm Gonna Be Sick" is obtained by going through five consecutive loops of the Ferris wheel in the Trail of Turning Terror without taking damage. The challenge is simple enough as you only need to jump from platform to platform to dodge each incoming laser field. At most you only need to glide to avoid the one in the top-left.
Fast and the Fiery-ous[]
"Fast and the Fiery-ous" is obtained by crossing the bridge prior to the arena with the Charge Boots without taking damage. You are allowed to walk onto the bridge, but have to cross the first pair of statues with the Boots, and reach the end of the bridge without walking (too much at least, the cut-off is unclear) and taking damage. The Charge Boots have a set distance they travel each time you double-tap , however. Use to halt your momentum in-between the statues to more precisely control the distance you travel.
One Heckuva Peephole[]
"One Heckuva Peephole" is obtained by using the Geo-Laser on the weak wall (with the gold bolt and raritanium chests) in the challenger entrance area.
Nundac Asteroid Ring[]
Alphabet City[]
"Alphabet City" is obtained by activating the teleporter cannons in the following order: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, and Zeta. The Eta teleporter cannon at the Apogee Space Station can be ignored and does not factor into the required order.
Knock You Down to Size[]
"Knock You Down to Size" is obtained by hitting five Cerullean centipedes with Hyper Strikes.
Dancin' with the Stars[]
"Dancin' with the Stars" is obtained by making five enemies dance at once on a single asteroid with the Groovitron. There are at least several locations where you can find several Cerullean swarmers and centipedes grouped together.
Ardolis[]
Taste o' Yer Own Medicine[]
"Taste o' Yer Own Medicine" is obtained by killing all of the corsairs with the Combuster (or Magma Combuster). Even when fully upgraded the Magma Combuster is too weak to be able to destroy all pirates without repeated backtracking, so use (non-explosive and single target) alternatives for the thwogs, buccaneers, and swab.
There are many corsairs along the way to the Blackstar Memorial Radio Tower. Keep in mind to also target the pirates at the walkways above the hideout, where a gold bolt is hidden. The skill also triggers even with one corsair left alive, so there is at least some tiny leeway, although it is unknown if killing a corsair with another weapon will void the entire attempt.
Preemptive Strike[]
"Preemptive Strike" is obtained by killing five thwogs while they are sleeping. The vast majority of the thwogs are encountered upon entering the Sarrdollow Caves in "Infiltrate the Pirate Hideout". Thwogs are very weak so any weapon will do, provided they have the range, such as the Predator Launcher and Nano-Swarmers.
It's Mutanty Cap'n![]
"It's Mutanty Cap'n!" is obtained by using the Transmorpher to turn five space pirates into penguins in one shot.
Rakar Star Cluster[]
You Sank My Battleship![]
"You Sank My Battleship!" is obtained by destroying 75% of the battle cruisers. There are only four of them in the level, and only one cannot be destroyed. The others each have a bright blue tower that can be shot to destroy the whole ship.
Pretty Lights[]
"Pretty Lights" is obtained by completing the level without destroying any of the snatchers. Snatchers are the larger craft that will fly in front of you and attack with a large laser. To be entirely save you can easily avoid shooting any of the ships and just dodge their attacks.
I've Got Places to Be[]
"I've Got Places to Be" is obtained by destroying Iron Crotch Caruso in less than two minutes and thirty seconds. You only need about ninety seconds of constant shooting to destroy Caruso, less if you aim at the weak point antenna at the top of his ship.
Rykan V[]
The Consumer is Not (Always) Right[]
"The Consumer is Not (Always) Right" is obtained by destroying eighteen consumer robots, all of which are in the Rykan V spaceport area. The Predator Launcher is the easiest weapon to use for this.
Live Strong[]
"Live Strong" is obtained by completing the Gyro-cycle course from "Travel the Lava Tube Network" in one minute and 45 seconds or less without dying. There are several parts within the network that require you to sit and wait, such as using the launch pads, or the gate at the start. The hypergate tunnels can be sped through safely, whereas the rooms with lava and narrow pathways require you to go slow to avoid falling off.
Untouchable[]
"Untouchable" is obtained by entirely avoiding to take any damage in the Gyro-cycle course. This time you must go slow, especially in the hypergate tunnels. Time the jets of fire properly to pass them safely, which are the only threat here.
Sargasso[]
It Sounded Like a Freight Train[]
"It Sounded Like a Freight Train" is obtained by killing eleven anthropods with a single tornado from the Tornado Launcher.
Head Examiner[]
"Head Examiner" is obtained by standing on the head of each of the five troglosaurs. Troglosaurs are not marked on the map, but they are so large they are impossible to miss while searching for them with the Robo-Wings. As for their heads, it is easier to land on their back and then jump onto their head when they have stopped moving.
Extinction[]
"Extinction" is obtained by killing all grunthors, which you also do as part of the "Soul Searching" mission. Each grunthor is marked on the minimap as well.
Kreeli Comet[]
Lombaxes Don't Like Cold[]
"Lombaxes Don't Like Cold" is obtained by destroying all icicles on Kreeli Comet. The specific icicles are generally always found along edges, and will easily be destroyed if within range of a Box Basher 2000-enhanced Hyper Strike. Make sure to perform Hyper Strikes as much as possible, including the side path where the holo-plan and gold bolt is located, and the skill point will trigger prior to entering the cave at the end.
Mow Down Hoedown[]
"Mow Down Hoedown" is obtained by destroying ten dancing space pirates with a turret. This skill point requires at least two, if not three, Groovitrons, so the Golden Groovitron helps. You do not need to kill the pirates with the same turret, but they do have to be dancing.
Saucy Wrench[]
"Saucy Wrench" is obtained by hitting all four campfire cauldrons with the OmniWrench 3000. The first pot is close the start, the second after the grind rail, the third is outside the cave at the end, and the fourth is inside the cave itself.
Viceron[]
Dancin' on the Ceiling[]
"Dancin' on the Ceiling" is obtained by using the Groovitron to make at least one enemy dance while standing on a grav-ramp.
Seared Ahi[]
"Seared Ahi" is obtained by using the Pyro Blaster to kill three drophyds without their armor. Drophyds will land on the ground when their armor is destroyed, making them easy targets.
Verdigris Black Hole[]
Expert Marksman[]
"Expert Marksman" is obtained by destroying at least 75% of the enemies within the Verdigris Black Hole. It is possible you will need several trips to memorize as many enemy positions as possible.
Can't Touch This[]
"Can't Touch This" is obtained by defeating Greasepalms McGee without taking any damage prior to reaching the boss. The most dangerous enemies are the satellite turrets and blue pirate fighters, because they both use a laser attack that drags across the screen. There is a bug however, if you die to the boss, and then defeat him, the skill point will trigger even if you took damage during the first part of the level.
Pyew Pyew[]
"Pyew Pyew" is obtained by completing the level without ever using your lock-on attack ().
Jasindu[]
Dead Aim[]
"Dead Aim" is obtained by destroying three towers while on the pirate barge on the way to Kerchu City. The towers are those seen upon landing on the planet, when a pirate ship rams into one, two more of which are on the same city wall, with another opposite the city on the cliff. The barge does not actually have to be moving for this skill point to trigger. Recommended weapons are the RYNO IV, the Negotiator, and the Alpha Disruptor.
Fire With Fire[]
"Fire With Fire" is obtained by destroying two kerchu pyroguards with the Pyro Blaster.
Ublik Passage[]
Six Gun Salute[]
"Six Gun Salute" is obtained by making six pirates salute while wearing the Holo-Pirate Disguise. It does not have to be six pirates at once, but they do have to be different pirates in total.
Reepor[]
Gotta Catch 'Em All[]
"Gotta Catch 'Em All" is obtained by using the Mag-Net Launcher on the cragmite warrior. This skill point does not trigger while using the weapon on the warrior encountered during "Escape the Cragmite Caves". Instead, return to the planet later and return to the cave to fight another warrior and hit it with the Mag-Net Launcher to get the skill point.
Igliak[]
Stay Still So I Can Shoot You![]
"Stay Still So I Can Shoot You!" is obtained by performing ten strafe flips while fighting cragmite hunters and warrior.
Now Boarding[]
"Now Boarding" is obtained by completing the Gyro-cycle course from "Rescue Qwark - Part 2" in 55 seconds or less. You should only need about 40-45 seconds.
Low Flying Howls[]
"Low Flying Howls" is obtained by flying underneath an electrified barrier in the expressway from "Rescue Qwark - Part 2". There is a barrier right at the start of the location, with enough space to fly through underneath.
Fastoon (revisit)[]
Nowhere to Hide[]
"Nowhere to Hide" is obtained by destroying all of the waist-high barriers on Fastoon, after the cragmites have invaded. It is recommended to finish the planet, up to the bossfight, then leave and return with the RYNO IV and less enemies to shoot. Clear the level again while using the RYNO, and other weapons such as the Negotiator, while destroying all of the barriers one by one.
General[]
No, Up YOUR Arsenal[]
"No, Up YOUR Arsenal" is obtained by upgrading every weapon to V10, or VX, in challenge mode.
Roflcopter[]
"Roflcopter" is obtained by using the Visi-Copter to kill a penguin (which appear by using the Transmorpher on an enemy).
Golden Children[]
"Golden Children" is obtained by collecting all gold bolts.
Cheapskate[]
"Cheapskate" is obtained by buying a single Combuster shot. You can do so by entering the left menu when visiting a weapons vendor, selecting "Combuster shots" and adjusting the purchasable ammo count to just '1', provided you do not have a Combuster with full ammo.
Everybody Dance Now[]
"Everybody Dance Now" is obtained by making every single enemy in the game dance. Because Groovitrons are (500 bolts) it is recommended to attempt this in challenge mode with the Golden Groovitron, which can be purchased from the devices vendor on Cobalia for 2,000,000 raritanium.
Several enemies in Tools of Destruction are permanently missable. The basilisk leviathans and grunthors do not appear after being slain. The drophyd cyclocannons appear in several missions, but not outside of those. The Thermosplitter and Fusion Turret are also missable as the Apogee Space Station cannot be revisited. Naturally bosses like Captain Slag, the kerchu mechwrecker, and Emperor Tachyon can only be fought once as well.
Other than these, several rare enemies include consumer robots, the enforcer turrets on Viceron, the generic armor-less drophyds. Due to the amount of enemies and their possible variations it is recommended to simply throw the Golden Groovitron around as much as possible.
Chorus Line[]
"Chorus Line" is obtained by making eleven enemies dance at the same time using the Groovitron. This skill point is easy to do with the masses of anthropods on Sargasso.
Happy Feat[]
"Happy Feat" is obtained by making nine penguins dance at the same time using the Groovitron. This skill points works well in conjunction with "Chorus Line", as penguins still count as enemies.
Disco Inferno[]
"Disco Inferno" is obtained by using the Pyro Blaster on enemies affected by the Groovitron.
Bolts in the Bank[]
"Bolts in the Bank" is obtained by selling a total of twenty leviathan souls to the Smuggler. Cobalia has a total of three souls, and the Nundac Asteroid Ring has eight, with sixteen more on Sargasso, for a total of 27. Seven of these have to be traded in, whereas the other twenty can be safely sold at any time.
It's Like the South Pole Here[]
"It's Like the South Pole Here" is obtained by having fifteen penguins active at once. This is easiest on Sargasso, as you do not need to use a single Transmorpher. Instead, get as many anthropods active at once and then chuck enough Transmorphers into the group to morph at least fifteen into penguins.
Say Hello to My Little Friend[]
"Say Hello to My Little Friend" is obtained by killing fifteen enemies in one RYNO IV burst. Although the term "burst" is rather vague regarding the RYNO IV, it seems to not rely on spending 'one shot'. Simply gather a group of fifteen enemies, such as from "It's Like the South Pole Here", and lock onto as many as possible before firing into the group.
For The Hoard![]
"For The Hoard!" is obtained by collecting all devices, not including the Golden Groovitron. You do not need to actually purchase any, as raritanium chests will always contain at least one device for you.
Promoted to Inspector[]
"Promoted to Inspector" is obtained by collecting all gadgets.
Global Thermonuclear War[]
"Global Thermonuclear War" is obtained by collecting all weapons, including the RYNO IV.
Even Better the Second Time[]
"Even Better the Second Time" is obtained by completing challenge mode.
The Hardest of Core[]
"The Hardest of Core" is obtained by collecting all other skill points, which will count as 100% completion. Note that the only thing not required is to purchase any armor.
