Ratchet fighting in the "Boar Blitz Battle" challenge.
The Arena, also known as the Battle Arena, is a combat zone in Going Mobile, unlocked after completing the first section of Battleland. It features a warm color palette consisting of browns, reds, and oranges, with several Ace Hardlight posters decorating the various challenge maps. Ratchet must fight through a series of challenges to earn bolts and eventually the Boar-Zooka upon completing the final trial.
Unlike other arenas in the Ratchet & Clank series, this version does not feature waves; instead, it places the player in a specifically designed environment for each challenge with a set group of enemies. All enemies are identical to those found in other areas of the game, including Megacorp Chickenbots, explodos, patrol bots, and automated turrets. Several challenges introduce special conditions, such as weapon restrictions, "no-hit" rules, or toxic gas that slowly drains Ratchet's nanotech. Notably, the Arena is the only one in the series where bolt rewards do not decrease upon replay, making it an ideal location for farming bolts.
Challenges[]
| Challenge | Guide | Prize (in bolts) |
|---|---|---|
| Micro Alley | A simple introductory challenge where Ratchet must find and defeat 10 Chickenbots. | 200 |
| Cratescraper Coliseum | Similar to Micro Alley, but featuring stronger enemies and a large stack of bolt crates in the center of the map. | 400 |
| Lance-a-Palooza | Ratchet is restricted to using only the Lancer to destroy 8 Chickenbots. | 400 |
| Explodo Zone | 10 explodos must be destroyed. Since they are fast and deal heavy contact damage, keeping a safe distance is highly recommended. | 600 |
| Wrench Rumble | Ratchet must defeat 10 Chickenbots using only the OmniWrench. While Chickenbots are not particularly durable, they have a slightly longer reach than the wrench; jumping on top of them to stun them is an effective strategy. | 600 |
| Lance-a-Palooza 2 | A repeat of the earlier "Lance-a-Palooza" challenge, but against a group of 8 patrol bots. | 600 |
| Timed to Die | A timed challenge where the arena is filled with toxic gas that drains nanotech. Players must rush to find and eliminate all enemies before their health is depleted. | 800 |
| Assassination Station | 8 Chickenbots roam the arena, each capable of killing Ratchet in a single hit. Staying at a distance or using crates for cover while firing the Lancer is the safest approach. | 800 |
| Missile Maelstrom | A difficult challenge against ten rocket-firing patrol bots. When two bots are close together, players must be prepared to dodge one while engaging the other. Attacking them from behind while they are turned away is effective. | 800 |
| Assassination Station Continuation | A "no-hit" repeat of the earlier challenge, but featuring faster, more aggressive explodos. Using the Gravity Bomb is recommended to eliminate them from a distance. | 1,200 |
| Timed to Die Again | A repeat of the "Timed to Die" mechanic, but this time requiring the destruction of eight armed patrol bots. | 1,200 |
| Boar Blitz Battle | Using only the Boar-Zooka, Ratchet must destroy ten rocket-launching patrol bots. The Boar-Zooka’s high rate of fire and piercing capabilities allow players to stun and eliminate enemies quickly before they can fire back. | 2,000 Boar-Zooka |
