Security drones[1] are enemies in Size Matters fought in the Mechanoid Factory on Kalidon during "Search the factory". They are floating metal robots that operate in packs, using a searchlight to scan for intruders while patrolling the factory. Upon seeing Ratchet and Clank, their searchlight switches from green to yellow to red, at which point they deploy a small laser blaster, which fires a small pair of lasers with a high travel speed, making them hard to avoid.
Security drones have limited durability and fire only in short to medium range. They often operate in groups, and are best taken down with either the Lacerator or Concussion Gun (which is also sufficient for single drones when firing at point-blank range). Mungo also uses the drones as impromptu objects to throw at you, but they do not otherwise act during the boss fight.
A cheap variant of the security drone called the trash drone appeared as an enemy in Secret Agent Clank.
