Scorch Minions are fire-themed Collector minion units that serve as recurring bosses in All 4 One. They are encountered only four times throughout the game, appearing twice in the Polar Sea and twice in Uzo City, primarily serving to block Ratchet, Clank, Qwark, and Dr. Nefarious from progressing.
Following the events of All 4 One, some units similar in design appear to have been repurposed or redesigned, appearing as Blazebots in the service of Thugs-4-Less during the events of Into the Nexus.
Characteristics[]
Scorch Minions are large, bipedal warbots characterized by a bulky upper body and two large cannon arms connected via hoses to fuel tanks mounted on their backs. They are distinguished somewhat from other Collector units by their more rugged, less refined design, lacking the sleek, orange armor plating characteristic of many other minions. This rougher aesthetic is somewhat reflected in their seemingly aggressive and loud operational sounds or movements. Alongside the Tank Minion, they rank among the largest minions deployed by the Collectors.
Combat[]
Scorch Minions typically begin combat by creating a curtain of fire at their feet, deterring close-range approaches. Their arm cannons serve multiple offensive functions: they can launch volleys of slow-moving fireballs towards targets or be used as powerful flamethrowers, sweeping the area in front of them while the minion shuffles laterally. Occasionally, they perform a slam attack, lifting their flamethrower-active cannons into the air before bringing them down forcefully.
Similar to the Tank Minion, the Scorch Minion primarily relies on its substantial health pool rather than agility or specific defenses; it is generally too large and slow to effectively evade incoming attacks. Consequently, while most weapons are viable against it, high-damage options like the Warmonger are recommended to defeat it quickly.
Behind the scenes[]

The Scorch Minion, originally called the Boiler, could open his chest to reveal a plunger. This would have to be pulled with the Vac-U, revealing a weak point to attack the boss properly.
