Sawbots[1] are enemies in Ratchet & Clank. They are small, blargian, hovering, yellow robots with two sawblades for hands, used by Drek Industries. They were encountered by Ratchet and Clank in the logging site on Eudora, during the mission "Explore the mills".
Sawbots hover in the air with the support of a small thruster in place of legs and mostly hover around aimlessly until approached by a target. Once one spots a target, the entire group of sawbots will then engage and approach it for a rotating, spinning blade attack in melee range. These are best dealt with using the OmniWrench or Pyrocitor, and once the Suck Cannon is available, it can be used to easily dispatch them, plus they can be used as ammunition.
Behind the scenes[]
As Eudora is absent from the 2016 re-imagined Ratchet & Clank, sawbots also do not appear. However, an immobile sawbot model can be found in the Insomniac Museum.
