Rift Apart gold bolt locations

This page is a list of all gold bolt locations in Rift Apart. There are a total of twenty-five gold bolts hidden in each of the locations. Most are found in hidden areas, while some are acquired after beating challenges. The majority of these are accessible on the first visit to the location. Several bolts can only be acquired after revisiting the location later, as the required item is only available later in the game.

Corson V

The first gold bolt in Nefarious City, Corson V is found on the path of the Phantom chase (past Club Nefarious) during "Find Clank", and located in the southeast of the map. Upon reaching the first wall jump slot in a plaza, head right of the slot instead and continue past a holographic tree into an alleyway, where a Rift Tether path leads to the gold bolt.

After "Find Clank"

Requiring the wall run move granted by Phantom during "Find Clank", the second gold bolt is located in the northeast end of the map, close to where the ship lands and to where Ratchet first saw a view of the city. From where the floating platform leads down into the bazaar, head up to the left to find wall run arrows on the side of a wall leading to another rooftop, where the gold bolt is acquired.

The third gold bolt is found during the "Search the Factory" route, in the west of the map. After entering the first room of the warehouse from the bazaar, use a wall jump from the wall jump slot up to a higher area, where a blue doorway leads to the next room. To the right of the blue doorway is a conveyor belt across the top of the room that leads to the gold bolt.

Sargasso

The first gold bolt in Outpost L51, Sargasso, is found in the northwest of the map, directly behind the gelatonium factory. Running around the back of the factory leads to a small island off from the distance that can be reached by a Rift Tether to obtain the gold bolt.

The second gold bolt is found just outside the entrance to Rivet's hideout. It is located on a small gelatonium structure just to the southeast of the entrance.

After unlocking flight with Trudi during "Help Trudi"

The third gold bolt can be found by flying Trudi to a large orange ring up in the mountains where Rivet's hideout is. The gold bolt is found in the middle of the ring.

Zurkie's

The first gold bolt at Zurkie's, Scarstu Debris Field is found near where Rivet's ship lands. A ramp to the right leads down to a lower landing pad, where on the left, a Magneboots strip is found. Walk along to the end of the route and then jump to the nearby strip (just off in the distance to the left), where the gold bolt is found.

The second and third gold bolts are found by winning the battleplex challenges "Bugsnax" and "Pest Control" respectively.

Savali

The first gold bolt in Urfdah Mesa, Savali is located on the eastern side of the map, though the path to obtain it begins the northeast. At the northeast is a canyon path with three buttons located along it; use the hoverboots to pass over all three of them and a portal opens up just after the third one to lead to the gold bolt.

The second gold bolt is located on the southeast end of the map, on a floating platform that will run away from Ratchet when approached. Use the hoverboots at full speed to catch up to it while cutting corners and then tether to it. An easy way to do this is when it leaps over a canyon.

After "Find the Dimensional Map Before the Emperor"

Upon returning to Savali, the third gold bolt, in the northwest end of the map, is available. It is found opposite the catacomb door that served as the entrance to the archives, but the small door to it is locked at first. It can be opened with Glitch, completing her final stage, and obtaining the gold bolt.

Blizar Prime

The first gold bolt in the Blizon Mines, Blizar Prime is found in the intact dimension early on in the path, on the southern tip of the map. Around the islands where lava puffoids are first encountered, instead of proceeding down the typical path, take a detour and head left (south on the map) to a larger island where the gold bolt is found.

The second gold bolt is located in the mining hub in Rivet's dimension. After entering the mining hub in the intact dimension, hitting the blizon crystal transports Rivet to the destroyed Blizar Prime, where the hub is in ruins. At the back of the hub is a Magneboots path that leads up to the gold bolt.

The third gold bolt is found in the northeast area around where "Find the Missing Chef" was complete, but in Rivet's dimension. Head to the northeast area of the map in the intact dimension and in the caves, hit the blizon crystal and follow the path to reach the second blizon crystal, the other end of the pit in the intact dimension. From here, take a detour to reach the third blizon crystal (the top-right crystal of a cluster of three) to find the gold bolt on a floating island in Rivet's dimension.

Torren IV

The first gold bolt in Molonoth Gulch, Torren IV is located in the outskirts early on, near where the ship lands. To the right of the path that leads into town is a hoverboots pad that leads around to the end of a destroyed bridge, where the gold bolt is found.

The second gold bolt is found on the first grind rail section after the town. It can be found by using the Rift Tether while on the grind rail path.

Cordelion

The first gold bolt in Kedaro Station, Cordelion is located early on near where the ship lands, on the eastmost platform in Rivet's dimension. The platform is initially protected by a barrier, but a blizon crystal on the platform will allow those who entered from the ruined dimension to reach it. Hit the blizon crystal at the top of the central tower, then slide down the ramps, glide towards the platform, and use the Rift Tether to reach it. Hit the blizon crystal on the platform to return to Rivet's dimension, where the gold bolt is found.

The second gold bolt is found in the Rubion Forge in the ruined dimension, early on down the linear hallway after Ratchet first spots an amoeboid. A door to the left is mostly closed, though a Rift Tether allows Ratchet to bypass it and find the gold bolt within a room.

The third gold bolt is found in the underwater section of the ruined dimension, on the tunnel past the first mag launch from the start of the path (north on the map). When the path splits, take the righthand path (west on the map), mag launch first across a gap and then onto a nearby wall, and run up the Magneboots path to reach the gold bolt.

Ardolis

The first gold bolt in the Pirate Base, Ardolis is located around the center of the map, and can be reached with the speetle found at Poacher's Pier. After first mounting the speetle towards Skull Mountain, when the path after the frst ring leads left, instead take a right. This will lead down a series of ramps through rings and around explosive barrels that veers off to the right and eventually circles back; at the final ramp, the gold bolt is found.

The second gold bolt is found in the Pirate Trials, by the second trial (that is not operational when Ratchet arrives). Use Glitch to activate a terminal for the broken feeding device to retrieve the gold bolt.

Viceron

The first gold bolt in Zordoom Prison, Viceron is located early in Disposal Center IG-29 (shortly after where the ship lands on first visit; on subsequent visits, a teleporter leads here). After Phantom Dashing through the first forcefield to leave onto a balcony, head right to find another entrance back into the building that can be Phantom Dashed through to enter the Impound Hangars. From here, follow a linear path to a docked pirate ship to obtain the gold bolt.

The second gold bolt is found after leaving the of the Processing Center (where Clank is rescued during "Rescue Everyone from Zordoom Prison", to the south on the map). On the balcony after leaving the center, in the top-right corner is a circular platform, with a cell held by a crane; hop over it and onto the platform behind it to obtain the gold bolt.

The third gold bolt is found in the West Wing - V.I.P. section (during subsequent visits to the planet, Rivet's ship lands here). It is found in a cell in the top-right corner of the room. Initially, during "Rescue Everyone from Zordoom Prison", all cells in the section are locked; after unlocking them later during the mission, the cell can be returned to, and the gold bolt is found inside.
