Rescue all Zoni is an optional mission in A Crack in Time, taking place throughout the entire Breegus System. Collecting Zoni unlocks various Aphelion upgrades, which are at times required to progress to certain locations. The mission itself does not become available until after completing the game and using the option to travel back in time prior to defeating the final boss. Ratchet will receive a message from Lord Vorselon, but must first acquire all Zoni to be able to access his ship.
Rescuing all Zoni will unlock the silver trophy Zoni Collector.
Walkthrough[]
A majority of the Zoni are located on various moons, which always highlight the presence of a Zoni with a brief scene. These are on almost all moons located at the end of a fairly linear platforming route that is spread out over the surface and through the moon's orbit. Zoni encountered in other situations will often flee, requiring a brief chase before they can be caught, which is easily done with a well-timed comet-strike throw.
Quantos[]
The first three Zoni in the game are on planet Quantos, and are collected mandatorily during "Find the 3 Zoni Necessary to Repair Aphelion", in which you also find the Zoni Vessel required to contain them.
Phylax Sector[]
There are three Zoni to be found on moons in the Phylax Sector. One is on Phylax Alpha, within a building locked with a bolt crank. The other two are on Phylax Beta and Phylax Gamma.
Torren IV[]
Torren IV has two Zoni. The first can be found during "Travel to the Hollow", after talking to the 'guardian', where the Zoni will appear upon approaching the spring pad nearby.
The second Zoni is at the very end, after completing "Master the Hoverboots" and during "Return to Aphelion". Retake the course and, when at the hoverbolt, follow the Zoni instead to a path that leads back to your ship, where the Zoni also stops.
Vela Sector[]
The Vela Sector has a total of five Zoni spread out across several of its moons. Vela Alpha and Vela Beta each require the hoverboots to be completed, whereas Vela Gamma, Vela Delta, and Vela Epsilon can be done without.
Terachnos[]
The first Zoni on Terachnos can be spotted at the landing pad. Follow it, as it will lead you to a side path involving the Swingshot.
The second Zoni can be found after clearing the spaceport. In the southeast is an opening where you can immediately see the Zoni, who will fly around the area a bit before hiding in an alcove in the northwest.
The third Zoni can be found behind an electric fence in the area directly after the spaceport. The fence needs a battery bot to be disabled, which can be found inside the spaceport.
Lumos[]
Four Zoni reside on Lumos, three of which are in Krell Canyon, and one in the Vogal Caves. Due to the nature of the Canyon's initial visit, the Zoni are easier to acquire on a return visit after the agorians have left.
For the first Zoni, you must enter Krell Canyon from the starting area, then follow the right cliff until you find an accelerator ramp on a rock leading south. Make the jump to find a Zoni on a large plateau.
The second Zoni can be reached by using the kick pad nearby the first. This will lead to a long ramp with a jump at the end, leading to a high area with the Zoni.
The third Zoni is slightly north of the first one, on top of a large stone ramp. Follow it across a series of grind rails and mid-air accelerator ramps until you land on another area up high in the vullard settlement.
The last Zoni is within the Vogal Caves, behind some voltan ivy after the first tetramite nest. Use the OmniSoaker coupled with the nearby Breegus nectar to get through.
Korthos Sector[]
The Korthos Sector has four Zoni to be found. Korthos Alpha, Korthos Beta, Korthos Gamma, and Korthos Delta each have one, with Alpha requiring you to chase it, and Gamma requiring the use of the OmniSoaker.
Agorian Battleplex[]
There are a total of four Zoni located on the Agorian Battleplex, although they are only acquired through clearing the following challenges:
- "Armageddon Outta Here" in the Bronze Cup.
- "Fun With Fusion Turrets" in the Silver Cup.
- "Endangered Species" in the Gold Cup.
- "Fire Proof" in the Raritanium Cup.
Zanifar[]
Zanifar has two Zoni that are easily found and caught. The first is in front of the zoltan ivy behind the Fongoid Farmer. The second is in front of the door to the Security Station.
Bernilius Sector[]
The Bernilius Sector has four Zoni, with one each located on Bernilius Alpha, Bernilius Beta, Bernilius Gamma, and Bernilius Delta.
Vapedia[]
There are two hidden Zoni on Vapedia. The first is located on the island archipelago outside the Valkyrie Citadel. Ignore the first hover bolt and instead jump to the nearby island where the Zoni resides, which will flee past a group of mushrooms and hide behind a zyphoid spawner.
The second Zoni is located inside the fourth tower, between the second and third training courses, but only arrives with a group of valkyries on the elevator in the center of the room.
Nefarious Space Station[]
There is only a single Zoni in the Nefarious Space Station, located at the end of an optional side path at the start of the level. When at the vendors, head left and follow this path until you reach the Zoni at the end. It has to be freed by using an oil-filled OmniSoaker on a bolt crank and then rotating that. The Zoni will fly back to the vendor area where it can be picked up.
Morklon[]
The Zoni on Morklon can only be caught after completing "Defeat Commander Argos!" and returning to the present. It is located on a higher section of the village on the west side, where it will be flying around in circles.
Corvus Sector[]
The Corvus Sector is where the last two Zoni can be found, specifically on Corvus Alpha and Corvus Beta.
