Ratchet & Clank (2016 game) vendors

Ratchet & Clank features only one kind of vendor, the Gadgetron vendor, which in itself appears largely identical to the original's version, albeit with a more cyan color and bright hologram logo. As with the original game it appears essentially everywhere, selling weapons and ammunition in return for bolts, with weapons becoming available as you progress through the game. It does not physically unfold like the original, and nor is Moby visible on a screen, but he can still be heard talking.

Two new mechanics, although not new to the Ratchet & Clank series, are the option to refill not only all your ammo, but your health as well, and the ability to buy upgrades with raritanium. Said upgrades range from increased ammo capacity, rate of fire, damage, area of effect, and drop rates for bolts, raritanium, and holocards. Each weapon also possesses mystery upgrades, which when revealed by buying the surrounding upgrades unlock a unique ability for that weapon.

Not all weapons in the game are available for purchase from the vendors, such as the Combuster (acquired for free in "Return to the garage"), the Predator Launcher (obtained during "Search the Blarg Warship for weapons"), and the RYNO (acquired after "Collect all RYNO holocards"). They do still have an Omega upgrade and ammo available however.

In challenge mode Omega upgrades of each weapon do not only require the base weapon to have reached V5, Ratchet also must be in possession of a full holocard set for the relevant weapon.
