Ratchet & Clank: Issue 4: Thanks for the Armories is the fourth issue of the Ratchet & Clank comic series. It was released on December 22, 2010. After Artemis Zogg threatens to block Veldin's sunlight unless Ratchet and Clank surrender, they must make a difficult decision.

Plot[]

Talwyn Apogee and Sasha Phyronix urge Ratchet not to comply with Artemis Zogg’s demands, believing it would be a suicide mission. Captain Qwark, however, suggests an alternative strategy to stop Zogg. Meanwhile, Vorn informs Zogg that Ratchet and Clank have accepted the terms. Zogg, sensing Vorn’s hesitation, threatens him with death by geoshifting into a black hole if he defies orders.

In the Hestrus Nebula, Drogol Sector, Ratchet and Clank board Qwark’s ship, planning to teleport onto Zogg’s vessel and steal the Surinox Shard. Talwyn expresses deep concern, making Ratchet promise to retreat if Zogg betrays them. On arrival, Ratchet encounters hostility from Zogg's robots. He tries questioning Vorn about Veldin, but Vorn remains silent.

Meanwhile, Talwyn confides in Sasha about her fears for Ratchet’s safety, admitting she once voted for Zogg over Qwark. On Zogg’s ship, Ratchet and Clank confront the villain, who admits he never intended to restore Veldin’s sunlight. Instead, he seeks to consolidate his power. Ratchet retaliates by launching a grenade, causing chaos. Despite facing warbots, Ratchet manages to press forward, though he struggles to locate the bridge and the Surinox Shard. He calls for Sasha’s forces to create a diversion.

Sasha’s fleet, led by her and Cronk, engages Zogg’s forces. As Zogg orders Vorn to charge the Magna Cannons, Ratchet stumbles upon the Shard. The plan to geo-shift Veldin with the Shard goes awry when Zogg damages the machinery. In a daring rescue, Talwyn crashes her ship into Zogg’s vessel, providing cover fire. Ratchet retrieves the Shard, but their escape is complicated when a robot destroys the escape pod controls, leaving Talwyn behind.

Clank convinces Ratchet to escape, warning that Zogg’s forces will kill them if they stay. Reluctantly, Ratchet agrees, leaving with Clank. As Sasha’s team mourns Talwyn, they track the escape pod’s coordinates to a snowy Veldin, where Ratchet and Clank safely land.
