Template:Good Template:GA update Template:Citation Template:WeaponboxThe RYNO IV or Rip You A New One Four was a super weapon that had been banned in eight[1] galaxies. It was powerful enough to have a galactic law, stating that anyone mentioning the weapon could be put in jail for a long time. Unlike its predecessors, the RYNO IV was not a missile launcher, but nevertheless dealt the most damage of any weapon in the game. When fired, the RYNO IV charged for a fraction of a second, and then launched a fleet of long-range, bending homing lasers at an incredibly rapid rate that sought out and vaporized all obstacles around the user almost instantly.

Ratchet obtained the RYNO IV by collecting the full Holo-Plan of the RYNO IV's blueprint, which was separated into thirteen pieces, and returning them to the Smuggler on the planet Sargasso.

When upgraded to V5, it became the RYNO IV Extreme which fired lasers that dealt a damage of 1,406.

The Omega RYNO 4-EVER

The Omega RYNO 4-Ever was the fully upgraded form of the RYNO IV and was the most powerful weapon in Tools of Destruction (although the Alpha Cannon had the highest power in one shot, being 51,410), and arguably the most powerful weapon in the entire series. It can be purchased at the Vendor for 50,000,000 bolts. It unleashed a terrifying myriad of bending lock-on homing lasers at an insane rate of fire of about twenty shots per second, each dealing 5141 damage in VX. The maximum ammo capacity at level X was 900. And if all 900 rounds of ammo were used up, the resulting amount was 4,626,900 damage. This was a very helpful weapon due to its power as it could get through a round of enemies in about 50 ammo units, complete a level in a matter of minutes, or defeat a boss in less than 30 seconds (e.g. the Basilisk Leviathan). Also, any medium sized enemy that got targeted by the RYNO 4-Ever would blow up after just 2 hits. This is the most powerful weapon in the entire RYNO series but not the deadliest.

Description

The RYNO 4-Ever had been declared a myth by the Galactic Society of Implausible Weapon Designs. Rumors had persisted on the Holo-Web that this upgrade to the R.Y.N.O IV was theoretically possible, but the subject was so controversial that merely mentioning it made a person become grounded for six months in an intergalactic penitentiary. If you heard any information about the RYNO 4-Ever, let alone encounter the actual weapon itself, you were advised to cover your eyes and ears and loudly hum show tunes of your choice. This weapon, should it even exist, was far too dangerous, illegal and downright gameplay destabilizing to ever be used. Ever. We mean it.

Behind the Scenes

The RYNO IV was often criticized by many players for being vastly overpowered, as it could destroy the last boss of the game, Emperor Tachyon, in a few seconds. Also, it was often considered unreliable, as its targeting system didn't always work while moving; a lot of lasers would scatter all over the place not properly connecting with enemies and could, over time, end up wasting a lot of ammo. The RYNO IV is the strongest RYNO so far in terms of its ability to destroy multiple enemies on the screen in the quickest time (2nd being the RYNO V) and the max damage dealt after all its ammo is used but, not the most lethal which is the RYNO V.
