Protosuit

The Protosuit, also called the Ranger Armor, or the Ranger nano-suit, is the most advanced combat suit of armor on the market, appearing in both the 2016 film, and its tie-in game. It comes in space cadet-blue, as well as its latest fall colors: black and harvest-orange.

The suit was utilized by the Galactic Rangers, as it allowed each member to summon weapons at will through a neural interface, as well as breathe in space (though a separate O2 Mask attachment was needed to let the wearer breathe underwater). Gameplay-wise, the Protosuit was merely a cosmetic change and did not reduce damage.

The armor had four alternate paint jobs, available depending on the amount of gold bolts the player had. These included: "Galactic Ranger," (the default) "Burning Inferno," (red and orange with flame decor) "Chrometastic," (reflective silver chrome) and "Qwark Green" (green).

In Rift Apart, the Protosuit appears as one of the collectible armor sets, made up of the Ranger space helmet, Ranger tactical vest, and Ranger tactical pants.
