Phase Quartz.
A very unique form of Blizon is Phase Quartz, this mineral is incredibly elusive and one of the rarest in the universe. It is found deep inside the planet in very small amounts on Blizar Prime and requires the use of an enormously powerful drill to excavate. Phase Quartz was the only energy source that was capable of powering the Dimensionator and to Clank's knowledge, Blizar Prime was the only place in the universe that it could be found. It has rather peculiar properties that allow it to interface with dimensional energy. If the crystal is broken or shattered, it's abilities to connect with this energy can become severely lessened and unstable, making it unusable in allowing the Dimensionator to function properly.
The Phase Quartz also seems to share similar properties with Blizon crystals that had absorbed dimensional energy. Whilst Rivet was on the alternate Blizar Prime and knocked the suspended Phase Quartz out of the excavation drill's beam with her hammer, both she and the crystal were shifted back to her own dimension upon impact.

Early into Rift Apart, after Dr. Nefarious steals the Dimensionator, he attempts to use it on Ratchet and Clank but is promptly stopped when Ratchet rather impulsively shoots the exposed Phase Quartz power core, causing the Dimensionator to begin malfunctioning and mass dimensional chaos to occur. This damage to the Phase Quartz inevitably led to the active Dimensionator going critical and exploding, which in turn caused the boundaries between the dimensions to begin collapsing and would have eventually led to a total Dimensional Cataclysm had the damage not been reversed by Clank using a new Dimensionator. After Ratchet shot the Phase Quartz, a large explosion occurred, causing some chipped pieces of it to land in front of him and he retrieves them. The Phase Quartz pieces in his Omniglove enable Ratchet to interact with the rifts to instantaneously pull himself towards them and pull open gaps in the damaged pieces of the dimension. This is known as the Rift Tether. Rivet's robotic arm also has this capability built into it and they are used several times to help both of them throughout their journeys.
Other kinds of Quartz exist but are not named specifically except for Blaze Quartz which is mentioned briefly by a Vullard on Torren IV, when boasting the capabilities of the Fixer at repairing anything that is broken.
