Template:RCEnemybox Peckbots were small birdlike robots found on planet Novalis in the original Ratchet & Clank. They were fought when Ratchet and Clank searched for a new ship in the Tobruk Crater.
Physiology
Peckbots were robotic birds mainly with a dark brown coloring, excluding their yellow wings, the upper half of their body and the outside of their legs. They also had two yellow bolts protruding from each side of their jaw, seeming to hold it in place. They had green eyes and a large metallic stubbed beak. Its phsyical appearance was of a bird, however it shared some silimar movements to insects.
Abilities
Peckbots, as robotic birds, were given the ability to hover. They hovered in the air until Ratchet came close, where they dropped onto the ground and attacked with their spiked jaw. Never performing aerial attacks, the Peckbots preferred ground combat which, due to their low defense, made them incredibly weak. To counter their lack of protection, the Peckbots often attacked in flocks. During the attack stage, the Peckbot can be seen maneuvering back and forth to avoid possible gunfire from Ratchet. It is unclear if this is to avoid long distance attack, or if the Peckbot has trouble travelling by foot.
