The Nefarious Peacekeeper is an aerial patrol vehicle, outfitted with a pair of Nefarious Troopers so that one can focus on piloting, while the other specializes in targeting their neutron field cannons. Later into the events of Rift Apart, they are upgraded with more armor and a stronger weapon.

History[]

The Nefarious Peacekeeper is first fought on planet Savali as part of Dr. Nefarious' strike team, that are sent to intercept Ratchet's arrival and hold the local monks hostage. They also appear in planet Cordelion's Kedaro Station as security.

At Zurkie's Battleplex, they and many other troopers are fought in the Silver Cup challenge "Ka-Boomstick Blast", using only a Warmonger by Rivet. They and other troopers are fought again during the Gold Cup challenge "Twice as Nice".

Peacekeepers are fought on Sargasso during Emperor Nefarious' invasion, at Zordoom Prison as security forces, and in Megalopolis when the Emperor invades Ratchet and Clank's dimension. Inside the Emperor's Imperial Power Suit, Nefarious Peacekeepers attack Ratchet to stop him destroying the Suit's biomechanical heart.

Combat[]

The Nefarious Peacekeeper is a heavy duty flying unit that lobs neutron bombs at red target reticles on the ground, that will aim at Ratchet and Rivet. When they explode, they will leave a neutron field for several seconds before it dissipates, that will damage the lombaxes if they touch it. They will typically hang back at a distance in combat encounters, creating environment hazards, while assisting other more direct attacking troopers.

Since they are a flying enemy that will attempt to keep its distance, more long range weaponry is suggested when dealing with the Peacekeeper. Powerful long-range weapons with a good area of effect, such as the Negatron Collider or the Warmonger, will take care of them quickly before they can interfere and cause too much trouble on the battlefield. Drillhounds are not recommended, as they tend to miss when coming out of the ground to attack flying enemies.
