The Nefarious Juggernaut is the miniboss unit of the Nefarious Troopers in Rift Apart, being strong enough to warrant a dedicated health bar and taking a lot of damage before finally being defeated. Only the top ranking members of the Nefarious Army get to become Juggernauts. With reinforced raritanium armor and plasmatic crash beams, these bots are not to be taken lightly. The orange domed Trooper head however is not protected and a good target to do extra damage.
They are encountered several times throughout Rift Apart by both Ratchet and Rivet. They will become upgraded with more armor and stronger damaging attacks as you progress through Rift Apart.

A Juggernaut is first encountered by Ratchet in Nefarious City at the Nefarious Plaza and attacks him for cutting in line, while he tries to get to the access console. When the Juggernaut's health is brought down to 75%, both it and Ratchet are pulled through a rift to planet Savali, where they continue to battle each other until it's health reaches 25%, to which another rift pulls them back to Nefarious City and the Juggernaut is finally destroyed.
Later on Savali, at the site of a crashed raritanium train shipment that was pulled through a rift from Nefarious City, a "Displaced Juggernaut" comes from a rift and fights Ratchet with several other Troopers to defend the late raritanium shipment. Another Juggernaut is fought at the Primeval Forest Temple with other Troopers, holding the local monks hostage. On top of the Archives, two Juggernaut "Invasion Commanders" are fought at the same time by Ratchet to help save the great collection of knowledge contained within.
In the intact dimension of Blizar Prime, inside the Chief Engineer's survey station, a security lockdown is engaged and a confused "Displaced Juggernaut" emerges from a rift. It is fought along with several hazardous lifeforms, those being Toxic crabs and Lava puffoids. Only when all enemies are destroyed by Rivet will the lockdown disengage.
At the Kedaro Station, on planet Cordelion, Ratchet frees a creature being used as a power source named Juice from it's containment enclosure. The Emperor's Assistant sends the station's "Elite Security Detail" comprising of three Juggernauts to stop them, but Juice and Ratchet are together able to destroy them and escape.
At Zurkie's Battleplex, a Juggernaut known as "The Contender", as well as several other Troopers are fought in the Silver Cup challenge "Ka-Boomstick Blast", exclusively with a Warmonger by Rivet.
On Sargasso, when the Emperor invades with his armies, a Juggernaut is fought by Rivet on her way to free the Morts' repaired Seekerpede from a dimensional anomaly, for use in defending the planet.
The Emperor arrives on Savali in his Flagship with his troops to steal the Dimensional Map so he can have access to all dimensions in existence and destroys the Lombax Archives. While Ratchet and Clank are on the planet, Rivet and Kit infiltrate the Flagship and battle a Juggernaut whilst looking for the Emperor. On the Flagship many variants of Troopers and Juggernauts can be seen housed within the craft, with several entering open rifts.
While Rivet attempts to chase Ratchet and Kit's cell being moved throughout Zordoom Prison, a Juggernaut known as the "Transfer Manager" halts her progress. Later after Rivet unlocks all the prison's cells from the Warden's office, another Juggernaut is fought by her and the newly allied Goons-4-Less escapees when she pursues Ratchet and Kit's VIP cell again.
When Emperor Nefarious invades Ratchet and Clank's dimension with the Dimensionator, he attacks Megalopolis with his armies. The allied Goons-4-Less and Space Pirates help Ratchet fight a Juggernaut just before he can confront the Emperor and Dr. Nefarious. After his Imperial Power Suit is destroyed, the Emperor loses his composure and begins opening rifts to bring in all of his armies to make Rivet submit to him, amongst the many Troopers are several Juggernauts, which Kit battles and holds back so that Rivet can fight the Emperor. During Rivet's fight against the Emperor, he calls in more Troopers to assist him against her as well as a Juggernaut. Kit soon jumps in however to give her a hand and destroys it.
Combat[]
Their signature attack is the chest laser, where they fire a laser cannon that sweeps across the battlefield. You will need to use jumps or the Phantom Dash in order to avoid these effectively. Next they have a cluster rocket attack that will paint reticles all over the area where Ratchet or Rivet is standing, the best way to avoid these is to just keep on moving around the battlefield and stay away from the reticles. It is advised you keep your distance from the Juggernaut at all times, if you get close it will continuously do a ground slam attack making a shockwave until you get distanced again, well timed phantom dashes are useful for getting away from this. Finally it will attempt to leap through the air towards the Lombax and charge them, if it succeeds in connecting, it will begin ground slamming once it has closed the distance. As long as you stay on the move and keep out of its way, it 's leap attack will miss.
When fighting Juggernauts it is recommended to use your strongest weapons and keep aiming your attacks at its head as much as possible. It is susceptible to knockback and can be stunned momentarily with a powerful weapon like the Shatterbomb. To inflict the most damage possible, you should aim for the head/weakpoint with the Headhunter or Warmonger in combination with the Topiary Sprinkler to give yourself easier aim or the Cold Snap, which will do the former as well as enhance damage by a decent amount.
