The Nefarious Battle Cruiser is a class of warship in the Nefarious Army in the service of the Nefarious Empire. They are helmed by the Nefarious Troopers and used by Emperor Nefarious in his subjugation of planets.
They are featured in Rift Apart during the mission "Stop the Emperor's Invasion".

The Battle Cruisers activate their Destruct-o Beams to destroy planet Sargasso.
During Emperor Nefarious' invasion of Sargasso, he ordered his troopers to begin exterminating all life on the planet in a ploy to draw in Rivet so he might finally rid himself of her. At least six Battle Cruisers were present here. Once Rivet and Kit freed the repaired Seekerpede from a dimensional anomaly, it was piloted by the Morts for use in defending the planet and used to down a Battle Cruiser with it's laser. Rivet then soon after launched herself onto the deck of another nearby Cruiser to destroy it. She defeated the troopers onboard and sought a way to damage it's power source, using a hammercrank to overload the generator on the Cruiser's deck to destroy it. The Morts then sent Trudi to pick the two up. The Emperor then ordered the remaining Cruisers to activate their Destruct-o Beams, while Dr. Nefarious reveled at the forthcoming planetary devastation.
Trudi hurls the Morts' Gelatonium bombs at the Cruisers and breaks their shields.
Using Trudi's fireball attack, Rivet is able to repeatably shoot the generator on the deck of a Cruiser and destroy it. The remaining three Cruisers were then ordered to raise their shields, which were impervious to any weapon Rivet and Kit had. Just when the situation appears grim, a Mort calls Rivet and informs her they had created bombs out of the Gelatonium waste stashes from their factories that are powerful enough to penetrate the shields. Whilst Trudi picks up the bombs to toss at the ships, the Seekerpede provides a distraction by attacking the invasion mothership. The bombs begin to work and the battle cruisers' numbers start to whittle. The Seekerpede however is eventually shot down by the Emperor's forces and the final cruiser is ordered to concentrate all it's power on destroying the planet. Trudi tosses a bomb at the last Battle Cruiser, causing it to start exploding and flying out of control into the side of the Mothership. The Cruiser collision then causes a chain reaction of explosions and the Mothership crashes to the planet below.
Armnaments[]
The decks are armed with six automatic turrets, three on each side and populated with several troopers. The ship's most devastating weapon however is it's Destruct-o Beam fired vertically from it's base. This beam is capable of blasting straight through a planet's crust, destabilizing the core and destroying it entirely in mere minutes. The Cruisers also have enveloped energy shields for protecting them from conventional weaponry but can be broken with a powerful enough force.
