The N60 Storm is a weapon manufactured by Gadgetron in Up Your Arsenal and its multiplayer mode. It is a blaster which fires energy projectiles from both of its barrels at a fast rate of fire, and functions as an all-purpose weapon.

The N60 Storm is made available immediately upon reaching Florana for 15,000 bolts. It can be upgraded to the N90 Hurricane with use. In challenge mode, it can be upgraded to the Mega N90 Hurricane for 460,000 bolts.

Characteristics[]

The N60 Storm is an orange pistol with a dark red color, and (at V3) a glowing scope. It features two horizontal barrels from which it fires alternating orange energy blasts at enemies. The N90 Hurricane is an orange rifle which features two longer barrels vertically rather than horizontally, silver highlights, and a left-hand grip.

In multiplayer, the N60 Storm has the appearance of the N90 Hurricane.

Gameplay[]

The N60 Storm fires at a moderate rate of fire at enemies, although it possible to fire even faster by rapidly pressing the fire button. It is an all-purpose long-range weapon, and adaptable to most situations. Early on it is most useful against single targets and in circumstances where a long-range weapon is required, whereas it is initially outclassed when dealing with groups of enemies by weapons such as the Shock Blaster, Nitro Launcher, and Plasma Whip. As the weapon levels up, it becomes much more adaptable and efficient against large groups of enemies, due to the changes at each upgrade level. However, later on, it becomes outclassed by other weapons against the tougher, more heavily armored enemies.

At V2, the N60 Storm's shots can ricochet off of surfaces to damage more enemies. At V3, it can lock onto a single target. At V4, the shots also feature electricity, which will hit nearby enemies after the first target is damaged, making it useful against groups. At V5, it will upgrade to the N90 Hurricane, which deals much more damage and has an increased rate of fire, while maintaining the abilities from prior upgrades.[a] Due to the all-purpose use of the weapon, it is useful to upgrade it early to be able to deal with most threats at the earlier stages in the game, and the changes at each upgrade make it better at dealing with groups of enemies.

Notes[]

  1. The N90 Storm is the only weapon to not prompt a Gadgetron HelpDesk message indicating any changes to its mechanics.
