Ratchet: Deadlocked

Alpha Clank

Alpha Clank was a duplicate of Clank created by Vox Industries to increase TV ratings, as Clank was highly popular in the Shadow Sector. Alpha Clank was placed on Team Darkstar as a member. As such, Alpha Clank was a heavily modified emulation of a sentry-bot defect. Alpha Clank fought alongside Ratchet in several of his missions during his time in DreadZone.

Alpha Clank was a skin for the player to use in single player mode. In co-op mode it was the second player's default skin in Ratchet: Deadlocked.

Subject 138

Subject 138…

Gleeman Vox calls in another child to review the Ace Hardlight Action Figure., DL

Subject 138 was an unnamed child sent to the lab by Gleeman Vox for a focus test to find out why the Ace Hardlight Action Figure wasn't selling.[1]

Plutonium Jones

Plutonium is killed by Shellshock

Plutonium Jones, also known as "The Muscle", was a low-level contestant on DreadZone. From descriptions given for his skin, Plutonium Jones had escaped from a past shrouded in mystery, for a future shrouded in mystery. He shot his way up to the Avenger Tournament, only to be killed by Shellshock's finishing 360° Tomahawk finishing move, within the first few seconds of the battle.

The Muscle was an unlock able skin.

Battle-Hawk

I'm Battle-Hawk, I can fly! ZOOM! (crash) Ouch!

Lucy attempting to fly like Battle-Hawk, only to end up falling into the ground instead., DL

Lucy (right) dressed up like Battle-Hawk

Lucy was a big fan of Battle-Hawk, going so far as to dress up like her.

Captain Lightspeed

Captain Lightspeed was a DreadZone contestant who was killed after attempting to enter another hero's living quarters.

Agent Zero

Agent Zero was a DreadZone contestant. Along with Ratchet, Kid Nova and Hydro Girl, Agent Zero is one of the four known contestants to escape the DreadZone Station explosion.[2]

Behind the scenes

Agent Zero is presumably an in-joke by Insomniac Games, as a spy called Agent Zero appeared briefly in one of Insomniac Games's earlier games, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. A mission in the game involves you needing to follow closely behind him without him noticing, in order to gain access to his secret club.

Quaternion X

The Leviathan Flail, Quaternion X's favorite weapon

Quaternion X was one of DreadZone's greatest contestants, who had been abducted from his home of Metropolis, Kerwan, and forced to fight for Gleeman Vox at around the same time as Captain Starshield. Almost rivaling the latter in dread points, Quaternion X was killed in the Battledome before he could surpass the Captain. His favorite weapon was the Leviathan Flail, which he referred to as "the old ball and chain."

Quasar Flare

Quasar Flare was one of the gladiators on board the DreadZone. He was "terminated" before Ratchet's arrival to the station.

Mobius Man

Alright fresh meat, enough chit chat. Your next up in the Battledome, after "Mobius Man." And from the way he's fighting it won't be much longer. Now move it!

Gleeman Vox, informing Ratchet that he is up next in the Battledome, DL

Mobius Man was a long-running DreadZone contestant, whom was finally eliminated from the show when the Eviscerator cut him down in the Battledome on the same day as Ratchet's first arena challenge. Gleeman Vox stated to Ratchet that the way Mobius Man was fighting, he wouldn't be around much longer. This shows that Mobius Man might have been a clumsy fighter, and the way he got all the way to the Vindicator Tournament might have been through mere luck.

Plasma Ray

Plasma Ray was one of the longest running DreadZone contestants until he was killed by one of the Exterminators.

Mad Monkey McKnight

Mad Monkey McKnight's silhouette

Mad Monkey McKnight was a popular DreadZone contestant, whom Ace Hardlight killed during the same season that saw the end of Captain Starshield and The Brown Ranger. He was larger than Captain Starshield and the Brown Ranger. He seemed to have a large gun for a right hand; with many tube-like devices around his body, suggesting his weapon was some kind of liquid shooter.

Gammatron

I'm Gammatron. My eyes shoot laser beams!

Eugene, pretending to be Gammatron, DL

Eugene (left) dressed up like Gammatron

Gammatron was a famous superhero and DreadZone contestant. He could shoot laser beams from his eyes. He may or may not have escaped the DreadZone Station's explosion.

Eugene, a child viewer of DreadZone, was known to greatly admire Gammatron to the point of dressing up like him for fun.

The Brown Ranger

Brown Ranger's silhouette

The Brown Ranger was a long-running DreadZone contestant from Metropolis, Kerwan. Much to the shock of the viewers he was killed by Ace Hardlight in the same season in which Captain Starshield and Mad Monkey McKnight were killed. He was taller than Captain Starshield, but shorter than Mad Monkey McKnight. He had many shoulder blades coming off the top part of his body.

Uranium Man

Attention heroes. We are detecting high levels of radiation in the containment area. If you reside next to, or near Uranium Man, you will die shortly.

El Mustachio

El Mustachio was an exotic contestant on DreadZone who came from the far east of the Bogon Galaxy. He was possibly killed by the Eviscerator.

Captain Nightingale

Captain Nightingale was a long-running DreadZone contestant. Little was known about him, aside from the fact that his mother worked at the Station. It was unclear whether he escaped the DreadZone Station explosion or not.

King Claude

King Claude appeared as a skin in Deadlocked. It was stated that it was a competitor at DreadZone, and became known as king through mortal combat. It was also said it would be delicious if dipped in cocktail sauce.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty

Pirate Buccaneer

The pirate buccaneer.

This space pirate buccaneer served aboard Angstrom Darkwater's flagship under his Captain. When Darkwater's first mate, Romulus Slag, lead a mutiny against the Captain, this pirate participated in the battle, taking Slag's side. Darkwater was eventually beheaded and left to rot in the Morrow Caverns, and the pirates, now under Slag's command, set up base on Ardolis as well as within the Ublik Passage. After the pirates' assualt on Kerchu City and Slag's stealing of the Dimensionator, the young Lombax hero Ratchet infiltrated the Ublik Passage and managed to behead Slag.

With Slag defeated, the pirates were placed under command of Sprocket. Along with Rusty Pete, a corsair and another buccaneer, this pirate was among the four crewmembers serving under Sprocket aboard his flagship. One night while the fleet was travelling through the Azorean Sea on planet Merdegraw and Sprocket, this buccaneer and a corsair were conversing in the cabin, Ratchet and Talwyn Apogee arrived in their ship looking for Darkwater. Rusty Pete gave away their intrusion, and the three other pirates surrounded the two at gun and sword-point. When he found out they were searching for Darkwater, Sprocket arranged a "proper introduction" by firing them out a cannon onto another ship.

Soon, Rusty Pete managed to fool Ratchet into helping him free Darkwater and his crew from death, bringing them back as ghost pirates, with Slag and Darkwater combined into one body. This buccaneer continued to serve under his original captains alongside hundreds of resurrected ghost pirates, making their way to pillage Hoolefar Island. The buccaneer participated in the battle of Hoolefar Island between the ghost pirates and Ratchet and Talwyn, but didn't actually fight the two heroes, instead staying aboard Darkwater's ship.

After the pirates were driven away, they prepared to raid the Zoni dimension, but Ratchet and Talwyn once again showed up to save the day. It is likely that this buccaneer was among those killed by Ratchet, but if he wasn't he definitely would have perished upon Darkwater's defeat.

Pirate Corsair

The pirate corsair.

This space pirate corsair served aboard Angstrom Darkwater's flagship under his Captain. Rusty Pete gave away their intrusion, and the three other pirates surrounded the two at gun and sword-point. When he found out they were searching for Darkwater, Sprocket arranged a "proper introduction" by firing them out a cannon onto another ship.

After briefly duelling Sprocket's gang, Ratchet and Talwyn were both captured, placed into a cannon and wheeled over to Sprocket and his men. However, before they could fire them to Morrow Caverns, what they assumed to be the ghost of Captain Slag appeared, telling them to instead fire the prisoners to Hoolefar Island. Unbeknownst to the dim-witted pirates, this was actually Rusty Pete attempting to aid Ratchet in his quest to find Clank.

Soon, Rusty Pete managed to fool Ratchet into helping him free Darkwater and his crew from death, bringing them back as ghost pirates, with Slag and Darkwater combined into one body. Second Pirate Buccaneer

The second pirate buccaneer.

Sweet eye of a Zoni! It's Slag! Scourge of Polaris, slayer of Darkwater hisself!

The pirate upon Slag's supposed return, QFB

This space pirate buccaneer served aboard Angstrom Darkwater's flagship under his Captain. When Darkwater's first mate, Romulus Slag, lead a mutiny against the Captain, this pirate participated in the battle, taking Slag's side. Darkwater was eventually beheaded and left to rot in the Morrow Caverns, and the pirates, now under Slag's command, set up base on Ardolis as well as within the Ublik Passage. Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time

Vorselon's Warden

Sir, one of the prisoners has requested to speak with you.

The warden to Flint Vorselon, ACiT

This Nefarious Trooper was among those given to Lord Flint Vorselon aboard his warship after Vorselon was employed by Dr. Nefarious. After participating in the troops' attack on the peaceful Fongoid village on planet Quantos, the warden was placed in charge of several of the prisoners taken during the raid including celebrity superhero Captain Qwark and four Fongoids. When Qwark spoke to the warden and requested to speak to Vorselon, the trooper informed his master, who agreed to talk with Qwark. Afterwards, the trooper returned Qwark to his cell.

It's unknown whether the warden was part of the large group of forces sent to annihilate Ratchet as he and the prisoners escaped the ship, but if he wasn't he would have survived to continue serving under Vorselon after their escape. The warden would have most certainly met his end when the ship exploded upon Vorselon's death within the Corvus Sector.

Fred

Fred

I am an engineer, I fix stuff.

Fred before attacking Ratchet, ACiT

Fred was one of many Nefarious Troopers and an engineer given to Lord Flint Vorselon to serve aboard his warship. While the lombax rebel Alister Azimuth was held captive by Vorselon, Fred and another trooper bet on whether or not he would escape, with Fred betting five bolts on him not. Azimuth would soon escape, but Fred never ended up paying his fellow soldier back.

When Ratchet infiltrated the warship, he entered a server room and an engineer was to be dispatched. Fred was chosen, but when he exited the elevator and entered the server room he was greeted with the sight of Ratchet holding his OmniWrench. After proclaiming that he was an engineer and fixed stuff, he drew the blades attached to his robotic arms and attacked the intruder, only to be promptly disabled and destroyed.

Fred's partner

Fred, is that you? Azimuth has escaped. You owe me five bolts.

The soldier to Ratchet, ACiT

This Nefarious Trooper was among those stationed aboard Vorselon's warship having been given to the Terraklon Lord by Nefarious. While the lombax rebel Alister Azimuth was held captive by Vorselon, the trooper and another soldier, Fred, bet on whether or not he would escape, with Fred betting five bolts on him not. Azimuth would soon escape, but Fred never ended up paying his fellow soldier back.

Whilst Fred was dispatched to examine a break-in in a server room, this trooper was stationed on a platform attached to several grav-ramps. He heard the elevator next to him opening and shutting and, assuming it was Fred, stated that he owed him five bolts due to Azimuth's escape. However, it turned out to be Ratchet, the intruder who'd just broken into the ship and destroyed Fred. Before he could realise his mistake, the trooper was blown up by Ratchet.

Fongoid prisoner

It's the green one's sidekick! We're saved!

The Fongoid upon Ratchet's arrival, ACiT

This Fongoid was a resident of Chief Alpheus' village in the Zolar Forest on planet Quantos. He was born after the Zoni banned the Fongoids of technology, raised on Quantos as a warrior under his chief. After the Zyphoids attacked the village, Ratchet and Captain Qwark entered the town with Alpheus and Enessa having just defeated them. The Fongoid was seen by the heroes as they made their way with Alpheus to the Temple of Zahn. Shortly afterwards, Lord Flint Vorselon and his troops attacked the village in their large warship, and the Fongoid men, including this one, defended it as their women and children hid in the temple.

However, within minutes of the ensuing battle, all of the Fongoids were captured and held inside Vorselon's ship. This Fongoid was kept alone in a cell within the Detention Block, next to a cell containing Qwark and Stelly. Soon, Ratchet arrived, and the Fongoid exclaimed in joy that "the green one's sidekick" had come to rescue them. Ratchet disabled the versa-fuse keeping the cells locked, and the prisoners followed him out into the Detention Wing only for Qwark to trigger an alarm. Hundreds of troops arrived to capture or more likely kill the escapees, but Ratchet and Qwark were able to hold back the enemy forces as this Fongoid protected Stelly.

Qwark broke down a door to another Detention Block where Ratchet freed three more prisoners. The Captain then lead the five Fongoids into an escape pod, first asking if any of them needed to use the bathroom. Ratchet turned a bolt crank, allowing them to return to Quantos to an unknown fate.

Fongoid trio

Tell me the location of the rebel Azimuth!

Flint Vorselon, ACiT

That wasn't Azimuth! That was just a young lombax!

One of the fongoid trio, ACiT

These three Fongoids were residents of Chief Alpheus' village in the Zolar Forest on planet Quantos. They were born after the Zoni banned the Fongoids of technology, raised on Quantos as a warrior under his chief. After the Zyphoids attacked the village, Ratchet and Captain Qwark entered the town with Alpheus and Enessa having just defeated them. The Fongoids were seen by the heroes as they made their way with Alpheus to the Temple of Zahn. Shortly afterwards, Lord Flint Vorselon and his troops attacked the village in their large warship, and the Fongoid men, including these three, defended it as their women and children hid in the temple.

However, within minutes of the ensuing battle, all of the Fongoids were captured and held inside Vorselon's ship. The Fongoid trio were held in a cell together in the Detention Block, and were interrogated by their captor as to the location of the rebel Azimuth, who Ratchet had been mistaken for. They refused to talk as they didn't know anything, but Vorselon locked them nonetheless, threatening to eject them out the airlock if they didn't provide him with answers. They screamed for help as two Splitterbots locked them up, the whole conversation having been witnessed by Ratchet.

Soon, after rescuing the other Fongoids, inadvertently triggering an alarm and defeating several of Vorselon's troops, Ratchet and Captain Qwark arrived at the cell in which the Fongoid trio were kept. Pulling out the versa-fuse that held the Fongoids' cell up, Ratchet freed the trio. The Captain then lead the Fongoids into an escape pod, first asking if any of them needed to use the bathroom. Ratchet turned a bolt crank, allowing them to return to Quantos to an unknown fate.

Nefarious' underling

I should never have quit dental school.

The trooper during Nefarious' play, ACiT

This Nefarious Trooper served aboard the Nefarious Space Station. He was one of many who were selected to star as Nefarious' nemesis, Captain Qwark in his master's Space Opera, not being the first to play the Captain due to Nefarious always ending up killing his minions during rehearsals. During scene three of act four, they were interrupted by Nefarious' butler, Lawrence, who had brought news of Ratchet and Qwark meddling in their plans once again. When Nefarious froze in anger, it was this trooper who Lawrence had slap him, snapping him back to consciousness.

When Lawrence brought up the matter of Nefarious accidentally killing his troops and gestured to his master's blaster prop, Nefarious angrily told him it wasn't loaded, but when he tried firing it, a blast came out and, after ricocheting off several walls and a light, hit the trooper in the back, immediately killing him.
