Concept Art - Bleep and Bloop

Bleep and Bloop

Maintenance bots[1] are a type of robot designed in order to provide simple maintenance on-board ships.

The Starship Phoenix II has its own special crew of maintenance bots, which included Bleep and Bloop . The Nebulox Seven Prison Ship has many maintenance bots on-board which are taken control of by Vendra Prog when she briefly wakes in captivity and wreaks havoc on the ship.

In Into the Nexus, Bleep appears at the Destructapalooza as the model for the GrummelNet Industries Jetpack prize, and also appeared in the advertisement as an example of an "innocent being prayed upon."

Zed also appears to be a maintenance bot, bearing a close resemblance to Bleep. The repairbots[2] who fix the warbot factory on Quartu and later turn Dr. Nefarious into a robot in the Ratchet & Clank movie may also be a type of maintenance bot, as they are simply differently colored versions of Bloop.

Characteristics[]

The Starship Phoenix II maintenance bots are Q-Force green in color, with a yellow eye and a red antenna. They also have a blue Q-Force symbol on their body. Bloop appears to have a playful personality, laughing at Bleep constantly.

The Nebulox Seven maintenance bots resemble Bleep and Bloop albeit grey, with the Bloop variant having blue eyes. When the Bleep-like maintenance bots are taken control of by Vendra their eyes turn red.

Behind the scenes[]

Bleep, Bloop, as well as an additional maintenance bot named Blip appeared as skins in the multiplayer of Full Frontal Assault through the Robot Pack.
