Locate Captain Qwark and Bribe the bodyguard are missions in Ratchet & Clank. Following the discovery of an infobot during the mission "Explore the blarg warship", Ratchet and Clank learned that Captain Qwark was scheduled to present a prize to the winner of the Hovercon Intergalactic Hoverboard Competition on planet Rilgar.
Walkthrough[]
Upon landing on Rilgar, take the path to the left and cross the water using the Swingshot. Caution is advised to avoid falling into the water, as native sharkigators will consume anything that enters their habitat. After taking an elevator, enter the large water-filled chamber containing an Insta-Faucet. The Hydrodisplacer must be used to drain the water to reach the next platform. Use the nearby Insta-Drain to fill the subsequent area, allowing access to a tunnel positioned high on the wall.
Drain the water again upon entering the next room. Proceed into a second tunnel to destroy a grating, then return to the main room to raise the water level. This allows for swimming through the now-submerged tunnel. Once through, swim upward to a ledge containing several crates. The only way forward is to slide down a steep tunnel slope, which deposits Ratchet into a room equipped with a floor button and a locked gate.
Stepping on the button causes the chamber to flood and the gate to open, triggering a timed escape as the entire complex fills with water. Constant movement is required; utilizing the Heli-Pack's stretch jumps is an effective way to maintain speed. The path ahead consists of a long, narrow, curving walkway over several basins; falling into these basins will cost valuable time. Amoeboids blocking the path should be dodged or quickly dispatched. Continue forward and leap across a series of platforms to reach a flooded hallway. Swim until reaching a ladder that leads to a large chamber with isolated platforms. A final flooded tunnel serves as the last obstacle before the exit.
After taking the elevator, approach Qwark's bouncer. This concludes "Locate Captain Qwark" and officially begins "Bribe the bodyguard." Paying the requested 4,000 bolts completes the objective and results in another cutscene, after which coordinates to planet Umbris are acquired, along with the mission "Survive Qwark's gauntlet".
