Hey, how you doin'?

Libra, ACiT

Libra's Valkyrie Ship

Libra was one of the three Valkyries who led the Valkyrie species (notorious for raiding spaceships throughout the Polaris Galaxy), being third in command along with her sisters, Cassiopeia (first in command), and Carina (second in command). She held the rank of "Captain." She and her fellow sisters had been hired by Dr. Nefarious to eliminate two Lombaxes named Ratchet and Alister Azimuth, after attempts made by Lord Vorselon, a VX-99, and dozens of other forces loyal to Nefarious had resulted in failure.

Pre- Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time

Long before the events of Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, the Valkyrie colony was destroyed by the Erubus Supernova. After moving to Vapedia, the Valkyrie leaders, Cassiopeia, Carina, and Libra banished all male Valkyries for failing to ask for directions.

Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time

Libra and her sisters were approached by a robot named Dr. Nefarious, who hired them to help kill Ratchet and General Alister Azimuth and assist in taking over the Great Clock.

The three guarded Planet Lumos in Valkyrie Warships. Ratchet entered the Korthos Sector at the same time as Azimuth and Ratchet. They spotted Ratchet, and Libra suggested they 'help him find his way', in other words killing him. Carina noticed another Lombax ship, that of Azimuth, and she and Cassy left Ratchet in Libra's hands as they left to dispose of the General.

Libra engaged Ratchet in her warship. She had a barrier placed around them, and released dozens of Valkyries fighters as extra support in battle. However, Ratchet would destroy her fighters and eventually her warship. The warship exploded, likely consuming Libra along with it in the blast. Libra's support team fled to Orrack Minor after her death.

Character Details

Libra with a can of Qwark soda

Like the other two Valkyrie leaders, Libra was much larger than the other Valkyries, this caused her to appear obese. Worth noting is that she speaks with an extremely masculine voice in something of a New Jersey accent.

  • The scene where she first appeared and smashed a tin can flat on her forehead could be a reference to Ratchet doing the same thing in the original Ratchet & Clank.
  • She's portrayed by Fred Tatasciore, known for his very gruff, masculine voice. The reason behind this is almost certainly for comedic value.
  • While Nefarious seems to be somewhat infatuated by Cassiopeia and Carina, he shows almost no attraction towards Libra, likely due to her considerably less feminine behavior and voice.

Libra is the name of a constellation.
