Libra is an antagonist in A Crack in Time. She was one of three valkyrie leaders in the Breegus System of the Polaris Galaxy, who worked for Dr. Nefarious, along with Cassiopeia (first in command) and Carina (second in command). Libra was captain of a valkyrie force that fought Ratchet and Alister Azimuth, attempting to eliminate them.

Libra is fought in space combat as a boss.

History

Libra, along with Cassiopeia and Carina, was called on by Dr. Nefarious, who promised to restore their colony that was destroyed decades ago by the Erubus Supernova.

Libra, Cassiopeia, and Carina waited for Ratchet and Azimuth in the Korthos Sector, guarding Lumos in valkyrie war ships. In "Defeat Libra to reach Lumos", Cassiopeia and Carina picked up Azimuth's signature, three thousand kilocubits north of Orrack Minor, and prioritized him due to the 2,000,000 bolts bounty, leaving Libra to take out Ratchet. After Ratchet, piloting Aphelion, defeated Libra, the other valkyries fell back to Orrack Minor. Libra was missed by the valkyries, who swore to avenge her.

Characteristics

Libra is a valkyrie who, as with the other two valkyrie leaders, is much larger than other valkyries. She distinguishes herself with a black outfit with gold trims.

Libra is characterized by a gruff, masculine voice and demeanor, in jarring contrast to her appearance. She is also aggressive and sadistic toward her foes, while respecting Ratchet's strength as a pilot. Little is known about her position amongst the other valkyries, but the fact that she was sorely missed by the other valkyries implies she was a key member, although Carina described herself as a far better pilot than Libra.
