The Kingpin, also known as Giovanni,[1] is a robot suit in Secret Agent Clank. Created by Klunk, the suit is a disguise behind which Klunk operated a criminal empire that quickly rose to power, while he put forth his plan in motion to fool the galaxy into thinking he was a hero.

Clank crossed paths with the Kingpin suit many times while chasing the Eye of Infinity, before eventually discovering Klunk was the suit's user. After this, Klunk used the suit, along with Robo-Nefarious and Robo-Ratchet, to fight Clank.

History[]

Klunk created the suit at some point after Otto Destruct's defeat,[2] and was highly proud of the suit, describing it as a "work of art".[3] As the Kingpin, Klunk rose to power quickly,[4] and gained several henchmen, including the Jack of All Trades and the Head Goon.

During Secret Agent Clank, Klunk operated a criminal empire entirely within the suit, as those working for him and doing business deals with him still recognized him only as "the Kingpin".[5][6] As a result, the Agency was unable to gather much information on him, other than a quick rise to power and his surrounding himself with protection at all times.[4]

Clank first spotted the Kingpin suit on Rionosis, during "All The Kingpin's Men" where he trailed the suit to search for the Eye. He later saw the suit on Venantonio during "Crashing the Party", when the Venantonio scientist was being held and forced to build a laser. Finally, in the spaceship graveyard during "Tracking the Kingpin", Klunk revealed himself to be the controller of the suit to Clank.[7]

In "All The Marbles", Clank fought Klunk, who used the Kingpin suit along with others during the battle.

The Kingpin is a large, humanoid robot, wearing a brown pin-stripe suit with a gold tie. He wore a fedora hat over his head. He had a gray face, always had a cigar in his mouth, and carried a cane with a Razputin Fire Emerald on top. This cane also doubled as a flamethrower-like weapon, which could shoot waves of fire at his enemies. The suit was also capable of generating large gusts of wind to push foes back.
