Armor was a type of collectible equipment featured in Into the Nexus. Ratchet could purchase sets of armor with bolts from GrummelNet Industries armor vendors on various planets unlocked through story progression. He begins with the Nebulox armor by default.

The Volcanox armor is only available from a special code received through pre-order at select retailers.[1]

Nebulox armor 0% Polaris Defense Troops don this durable armor when on duty aboard the Nebulox prison ship.
Thug armor 10% 10,000 Silox or Destructapalooza (first visit) This mercenary gear is made of Sargassian Troglosuar hide and decreases damage by 20%. Perfect for committing felonies.
Terachnoid armor 35% 70,000 Igliak or Destructapalooza (second visit) Terachnoid Sage Filgram Splendleforg spent so much time being subjected to galactic wedgies that he engineered this special armor. It decreases damage by 35% and, of course is wedgie-proof.
Nether armor 50% 1,500,000 Challenge mode GrummelNet has noticed you have encountered Nethers, and would love to help! This concept armor is one-of-a-kind and engineered to assist you in the battle against these interdimensional foes. Absorbs 50% damage.
Volcanox armor 5% Pre-order only Ratchet’s Volcanox Armor, available as a pre-order bonus at participating retailers, is inspired by Gadgetron’s popular Infernox Armor. This lightweight, durable suit is for the fashion-conscious adventurer. Besides granting a 5% damage-reduction, it also all but guarantees “Best-Dressed” awards at high-school reunions.
