Armor is a type of collectible in Into the Nexus, used to increase damage reduction. Ratchet can purchase sets of armor with bolts from GrummelNet's armor vendors, unlocking new sets through progressing the story. He begins with the Nebulox armor by default.
The Volcanox armor is only available from a special code received through pre-order at select retailers.
Purchasing all armor unlocks the silver trophy "Armored and Dangerous".
History[]
The Nebulox armor is worn by Polaris Defense Force troops when on duty aboard the Nebulox prison ship.[1] The Thug armor is mercenary gear made of sargassian troglosaur hide, marketed as "perfect for committing felonies".[2] The Terachnoid armor was engineered by Terachnoid Sage Filgram Splendleforg after being subjected to "galactic wedgies"; it is wedgie-proof.[3]
Comparably, the Nether armor is a concept armor engineered by GrummelNet to assist in the battle against interdimensional foes.[4] The Volcanox armor was inspired by Gadgetron's popular Infernox Armor; the lightweight suit is marketed for the "fashion-conscious adventurer".[5]
