Hug-Me-Tight Nanny Bots[1] are enemies in Tools of Destruction. Fought in the Imperial Fight Festival, Mukow, they are big electric machines with immense arms, whose hands smash together to electrify an enemy.
Ratchet and Clank fought them around the Imperial Fight Festival.
History[]
Hug-Me-Tight Nanny Bots were manufactured by GrummelNet Industries and sold as children's toys. However, they were recalled due to packing a 10,000 volt punch.[2]
During "Find Qwark", off-duty Hug-Me-Tight Nanny Bot gladiators were recalled to defend the festival when the drophyds suspected Ratchet had come to assassinate Emperor Tachyon.[3]

Hug-Me-Tight Nanny Bots are large, dark blue robots. They have a vaguely humanoid shape, but with thrusters in place of legs, and immense arms. The bots move slowly and attack by smashing their arms together, generating a small shockwave.
Combat[]
Hug-Me-Tight Nanny Bots are melee only enemies and relatively slow, but are challenging due to their toughness. Because they are electrified, they are immune to the Shock Ravager. As such, it is best to prioritize them in any battle against them, attacking them with ranged weapons such as the Combuster, Plasma Beasts, or Predator Launcher before they can close in on Ratchet. Using devices such as the Groovitron can be necessary to prevent them overwhelming Ratchet.
Later on after returning to the festival they are somewhat stronger but have no new abilities. The Nano-Swarmers, Buzz Blades, and Shard Reaper suffice in taking them down without trouble.
