The Heli-Pods are a gadget in Tools of Destruction. It is a glove which sends out small chopper blades that can lift up certain platforms and objects for a short time, and can attach to any surface aside from organisms, including crates (throwing Heli-Pods at crates can send them sailing). In some cases, the player may have to destroy a Heli-Pod to lower an object.
The Heli-Pods are patented by GrummelNet Industries and were developed as safe and convenient means of lifting large weights or hazardous objects.[1] Ratchet and Clank acquired it in "Win the Coliseum Battles" after beating the first two challenges of the Imperial Fight Festival. They were almost rarely used during normal missions, and were only required for two optional paths on Ardolis and Viceron, to respectively acquire the Armor Magnetizer and a gold bolt.
