Going Commando has a total of thirty skill points. There are skill points to be completed in every location, excluding the space combat locations, Aranos, Smolg, and Yeedil. Skill points are used to unlock secrets in the Special menu.
Collecting all skill points in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the gold trophy Super Skilled.

Oozla[]
Prehistoric Rampage[]
"Prehistoric Rampage" is collected by shooting down four pterodactyls that fly in the skies above the Megacorp Outlet area. The pterodactyls are relatively slow-moving targets and have circular flight patterns. Many will fly above the swamp area in front of the outlet, directly ahead of where the ship lands. It is best to return with the Pulse Rifle, as it can aim at them easily. A more simpler way to earn this skill point is to follow the path of the "Explore the swamp ruins" mission, as you will soon enough find a group of four pterodactyls that you can easily shoot down using the Lancer.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Take Aim".
Smash and Grab[]
"Smash and Grab" is collected by destroying all breakables in the Megacorp Outlet. This is difficult to obtain on the first visit, but is trivial to obtain after acquiring the Box Breaker, which can be obtained by defeating swamp monster II on this very planet (possible once the Gravity Boots are obtained). With the Box Breaker, use the hyper-strike ( + ) throughout the Megacorp store until all breakables are destroyed.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "More Vandalism?".
Maktar Resort[]
Wrench Ninja: Blade to Blade[]
"Wrench Ninja: Blade to Blade" is collected by defeating Chainblade in a Galactic Gladiators arena battle using only the OmniWrench. This can be done in any challenge involving Chainblade, but the most straightforward way to do this is in the normal "Chainblade Challenge". The easiest way to achieve this is to return to the challenge with the OmniWrench 12000 obtained during "Meet up in the hangar bay" on the second visit to Aranos, as this OmniWrench 12000 can defeat him in only a few hits, and his attacks will pose little threat. However, using the hyper-strike ( + ) repeatedly when he is on the ground and dodging him in the air is the best strategy if trying to obtain this earlier. Using the Decoy Glove will still give you the Skill Point since it doesn't directly attack Chainblade,
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the silver trophy "Wrench Ninja: Blade to Blade".
Vandalize[]
"Vandalize" is collected by destroying all breakables in the Maktar Resort (not including the Thugs-4-Less jamming array). As with "Smash and Grab", this is most easily obtained by returning to the planet with the Box Breaker and slamming the OmniWrench in every area.
2B or not 2B hit[]
"2B or not 2B hit" is collected by defeating the B2 Brawler without taking any damage. This can be done in any challenge that involves the B2 Brawler, though "Battle the B2 Brawler" is the most straightforward. This requires very careful dodging and strafing to avoid its attacks, and it is best done after returning to the arena later with more powerful weapons that can defeat it quickly before it has a chance to get many hits in (such as the Kilonoids, Megaturret Glove, or Megarocket Cannon), or even when using the Shield Charger to take little damage.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "2B Hit or Not 2B Hit".
Clank needs a new pair of shoes[]
"Clank needs a new pair of shoes" is collected by winning the jackpot from one of the slot machines in the Maktar Resort. This is accomplished by hitting the slot machines until three jackpot symbols align, at which point they will reward you with 300 bolts. Many of them will instead land on explosion slots and self-destruct before this is possible. To obtain this, hit every slot machine in the level until it reaches jackpot or explodes; if it does not, restart and try again.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Clank Needs a New Pair of Shoes".
Endako[]
Destroy all breakables[]
"Destroy all breakables" is collected by destroying all breakables in Megapolis. As with "Smash and Grab" and "Vandalize", this is most easily obtained by returning to the planet with the Box Breaker and slamming the OmniWrench in every area.
Operate Heavy Machinery[]
"Operate Heavy Machinery" is collected by destroying ten enemies using the crane. The cranes are found along the route for "Rescue Clank from the thief", and appear twice. In the first room, five Megacorp Sweeper Bots can be destroyed by dropping the metal box on them. In the second, it is possible to pick up a Megacorp Laser Bot and use its laser to destroy the Sweeper Bots.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Operate Heavy Machinery".
Barlow[]
Speed demon[]
"Speed demon" is collected by completing a hoverbike race with a time less than 2:10. As any race is available, the best to try this is the "Vukovar Circuit" race, where the shortcuts are open and racers will not attack Ratchet. The key is to always use shortcuts, and maintain a speed boost at all times when possible. If boosting is maintained constantly, you do not crash and take all shortcuts, it will be achievable.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Speed Demon".
Notak[]
Planet Buster[]
"Planet Buster" is obtained by destroying the floating globe in the promenade area (the "Explore the Promenade" route). The large globe in the middle of the waterway appears early on and impossible to miss. It is destroyed by shooting all of of its orbiting parts and rings, and then firing at the main globe, which can be done easily with the Lancer or any other ranged weapon.
Siberius[]
You can break a Snow Dan[]
"You can break a Snow Dan" is collected by destroying the Snow Dan (a snowman with the face of Dan Johnson), which is found near the start of the area just behind the garage on the left from which MSR enemies appear. Head around the back of the garage and the Snow Dan is found just behind. It can be destroyed with the OmniWrench.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "You Can Break a Snow Dan".
Tabora[]
Heal your chi[]
"Heal your chi" is collected by obtaining all one hundred of the desert crystals in Tabora. Using the map, it is possible to travel to any of the areas that are not filled in yellow, indicating areas not yet traveled by Ratchet, to search for remaining crystals. Using the mining vehicle is also a good way to quickly travel around to search for the last few crystals when only a few remain. Alternatively, if you return after obtaining the Mapper, all the unobtained crystals will be highlighted on your map.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Heal Your Chi".
A map showing desert crystal and Raritanium locations on planet Tabora. The blue dots represent the crystals, the green dots represent raritanium, and the pink dots representing Desert dune monster locations.
Dobbo[]
Old Skool[]
"Old Skool" is collected by defeating all enemies in the testing facility (in both the outside path and the path inside), using only weapons from the original Ratchet & Clank, including the OmniWrench, the Bomb Glove, the Decoy Glove, the Tesla Claw, the Visibomb Gun, and the Walloper. Between these, the Bomb Glove and OmniWrench are the best when engaging enemies (namely the Megacorp Troopers) close up, and the Visibomb Gun is particularly useful to defeat the enemies from a distance before engaging them (it is possible to destroy the Megacorp Hover Tanks at a range that their cannons do not reach). Additionally the Decoy Glove is useful for distracting enemies in general.
It is possible to obtain this on returning to Dobbo after completing all missions, at which point the enemy formations will be weaker. Returning with the OmniWrench 12000, improved armor, and a higher Nanotech level are all ways to make this skill points easier to obtain. It is also important not to travel to the Lunar City, as this will reset Dobbo and cause enemies to respawn.
Dukes Up[]
"Dukes Up" is obtained on the Dobbo orbit moon Lunar City, by defeating the Thug Leader with only melee attacks. As melee attacks from Giant Clank are more powerful than ranged attacks, this is relatively straightforward. The only difficulty is in catching up to the Thug Leader, though Giant Clank's punches are faster than normal walking speed, and it is possible to cut corners as the Thug Leader rarely walks off the roads. Jumping and landing on the Thug Leader's mech is also allowed, and is doubly useful to dodge his attacks and those of the supporting Attack-Copters.
Robo Rampage[]
"Robo Rampage" is obtained by destroying all buildings on Lunar City as Giant Clank (it is not necessary to destroy the street lamps and benches). The buildings can be destroyed with ease, though they also provide ammo and nanotech refreshes that are key for the bossfight. Therefore, if the aim is to also destroy the Thug Leader in the same run, wait until the Thug Leader's health is low, and then destroy the buildings on the moon before finishing up the mission.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Robo Rampage".
Joba[]
That's impossible![]
"That's impossible!" is collected by beating "The Impossible Challenge!" in the Megacorp Games arena.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the silver trophy "That's Impossible!".
How fast was that?[]
"How fast was that?" is collected by beating any of the Joba hoverbike races with a time less than 2:27. Any race can be used to obtain this skill point, though the "Joba Circuit" is the best to attempt this as it opens up a fork that allows the race to be completed faster. Maintain a constant speed and avoid being destroyed to achieve the time.
Wrench Ninja II: Massacre[]
"Wrench Ninja II: Massacre" is obtained by defeating all enemies on the planet, namely the "Enter the Megacorp Games" route, excluding the arena itself, with only the OmniWrench. The easiest way to obtain this is to return to the planet when the most powerful OmniWrench 12000 is obtained, and when the enemies have already been defeated from the first path, at which point the mission becomes considerably easier.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the silver trophy "Wrench Ninja II: Massacre".
Bye bye birdies[]
"Bye bye birdies" is obtained by killing twelve of the docile birds found on Joba. These are small, pink birds that are found either on the ground or perched on the railings. As the birds instantly fly away when Ratchet approaches, the easiest way to obtain it is using the Pulse Rifle to aim from a distance, before approaching an area, and then kill them. It is possible to shoot them in mid-flight as well.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Bye Bye Birdies".
Todano[]
Nothing to see here[]
"Nothing to see here" is collected by destroying all four rockets between the landing pad and the dam at the start of the area, they are each visited by the tour guide. The rockets sustain a lot of damage, but can be destroyed if hit enough times with the OmniWrench, or alternatively any weapon.
Try to Sleep[]
"Try to Sleep" is collected by morphing 16 mutant test-squirrels to sheep with the Sheepinator. After obtaining it, this is relatively trivial to do: it can be done by returning to the tour near the starting area where the ship lands, and morphing squirrels along the tour's path.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Try to Sleep".
You're my Hero[]
"You're my Hero" is collected by protecting the robot tourists from the mutant test-squirrels around the tour, and preventing any of them from dying. In addition to reaching an area before the tourists do and killing the test-squirrels, a few tourists will lag behind the main group, and then be attacked by squirrels that drop out of the trees. Therefore, it is important to stay behind the tour after cleaning the area beforehand.
The Miniturret Glove can help in protecting stragglers, and the Sheepinator can help in particular against the squirrels as it is guaranteed not to accidentally damage the tourists. The tour will repeat endlessly, so it may be easier to protect them all on a repeat of the tour when all squirrels have been eliminated already, making it easier.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "You're My Hero".
Boldan[]
No shocking developments[]
"No shocking developments" is collected by riding the grind rail (seen in the "Ride the power lines" route) without sustaining any damage. This grind rail does not feature any moving threats, and the only difficulty comes in staying aware of the location of any upcoming the power generators, and avoid any cables connected to them. The power generators serve both as obstacles and for spreading dangerous electricity to any connected cable. There is a known glitch, that double jumping onto the rail at the start may cancel the skill point.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "No Shocking Developments".
Snivelak[]
Moving Violation[]
"Moving Violation" is collected by destroying fourteen of the flying ships in the skies above the Thug HQ. Easy places to achieve this are by the bridge or by the starting area, as both have a good view of the ships and a nearby Megacorp vendor. The Pulse Rifle is the best weapon to use to obtain this.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Moving Violation".
Damosel[]
Midtown Insanity[]
"Midtown Insanity" is collected by riding the grind rail segment (the "Ride the train rails" route) without taking any damage. As usual, it is important to plan for and carefully dodge all obstacles along the route. Though the Shield Charger can help with the Protopets on the rail, it should not be relied on, as it is easily possible to take them out with the OmniWrench one by one.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the silver trophy "Midtown Insanity".
Safety Deposit[]
"Safety Deposit" is collected by protecting all robot civilians in the downtown bank, destroying all enemies, namely the Protopets and Extermibots, in the bank without any of them dying. After defeating the enemies on the ground floor, the enemies on the stairs must be defeated, at which point the skill point is obtained.
It is important to defeat all the enemies quickly, preferably using weapons that are not explosive as they may hit the civilians if close. This is a trivial task with the Plasma Coil or Plasma Storm, as firing it into the bank can destroy all enemies without damaging the tourists. The Lancer can also be used, as it is easy to aim and can easily defeat the Protopets.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Safety Deposit".
Grelbin[]
Be a Moon Child[]
"Be a Moon Child" is collected by obtaining all 101 of the moonstones in Grelbin. As with "Heal your chi", using the map, it is possible to travel to any of the areas that are not filled in yellow, indicating path not traveled by Ratchet yet, to search empty spots for remaining crystals. After "Find Angela", the mining vehicle can be used to quickly travel around to search for the last few crystals when only a few remain, though it is important to avoid the Y.E.T.I.s. As before, if you return after obtaining the Mapper, all the unobtained moonstones will be highlighted on your map.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the bronze trophy "Be a Moon Child".
General[]
Nano to the max![]
"Nano to the max" is collected by upgrading Ratchet's nanotech to the maximum of 80 points. This is obtained by gaining full experience from defeating enemies, and by obtaining all nanotech boosts. A challenge mode playthrough will likely be required, though it is advisable to obtain all nanotech boosts before reaching challenge mode. It is suggested that the last nanotech boost be obtained after gaining all upgrades from experience, because if all nanotech boosts are collected when Ratchet still can increase his nanotech capacity by nanomites, the skill point may not be obtained when reaching 80 points of nanotech.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the silver trophy "Nano to the Max".
Weapon Envy[]
"Weapon Envy" is collected by obtaining all weapons, and upgrading those if possible. While this does not including upgrading to Mega or Ultra versions in challenge mode, one weapon, the Clank Zapper, is unavailable for purchase outside of challenge mode. Plus, the necessary funds for it, and the equally expensive RYNO II and Zodiac, are essentially only available in challenge mode. Leveling and upgrading weapons is relatively easy, especially in challenge mode, except for the Clank Zapper which simply will take a while.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the gold trophy "Destruction Time".
Nice Ride[]
"Nice Ride" is collected by fully upgrading Ratchet's ship, the Star Explorer. This means obtaining Raritanium either from space combat missions or using the mining vehicle on Tabora or Grelbin. Between Tabora and Grelbin, the former is preferable, as Y.E.T.I.s will make it much more difficult to mine Raritanium. However, it is often easier to simply complete the space combat missions. It is best not to purchase customizations to the ship's appearance, as these cost Raritanium while not contributing to the skill point. A challenge mode playthrough will likely be required.
Collecting this skill point in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando unlocks the silver trophy "Nice Ride".
