This page is a list of all platinum bolt locations in Going Commando. There are a total of forty platinum bolts hidden in each of the locations. The majority of these are accessible on the first visit, though this is under the presumption the player is already in possession of the required weapon, gadget, or item. Several bolts can only be acquired after revisiting the location later, as the required item is only available later in the game.
Collecting all platinum bolts in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Going Commando will unlock the gold trophy Platinum Power.

Oozla[]

The first platinum bolt is obtained at the end of the route for "Explore the swamp ruins", after purchasing the Tractor Beam from the Inventor. To do this, the columns must be aligned to the top of the block on the left, opposite the cliff that leads back to the Star Explorer. Once done, jump on the columns to reach this platinum bolt.
- After all missions
The second platinum bolt becomes available in the swamp ruins area. At the beginning of the path, immediately after crossing the first body of water, jump onto the dragon boat that now appears on the left. It will escort you to a cave with a platinum bolt surrounded by swarming mutant fireflies.
Maktar Resort[]

The first platinum bolt is obtained on the route for "Win the Arena Battle", the left path after the landing pad. After riding the limo and climbing up to the area where the Thugs-4-Less Brutes attack in force, head to the machinery on the right and jump up, made easier with the Heli-Pack if returning with Clank. The platinum bolt is found behind the crane.
The second platinum bolt is found on the Thugs-4-Less jamming array. Get on top of the limo, and then onto the limo's left engine, to see a small platform with a jump pad. Double jump to reach it, and then launch straight up (without moving in any other directions) to reach the platinum bolt.
Endako[]

The first platinum bolt is found along the path for "Rescue Clank from the thief" (the left path from where the ship lands), in the second crane area (where a crane is used throughout three rooms). To obtain this, operate the crane and pick up the indestructible box in the third room. Move it back into the second room, and drop it on the left-hand side, directly opposite the door leading into the third room, which will place it below an elevated door frame. Next, pick up the explosive box also found in this room, and drop it on top of the first box. Once you exit the crane, go by foot to the second room and hop onto the box to enter the formerly locked-off room, with the bolt inside.
The second platinum bolt is found along the route for "Visit Clank's apartment" (the right path from where the ship lands). Part way through, after hopping over a few floating platforms, a right turn halfway along a path will lead down to an open space with Megacorp Sweeper Bots. Ignore this route and instead head to the end of the path, and drop down to a small balcony where the platinum bolt is located. You can then take a ladder to return to the top.
Barlow[]

The first bolt is found along the "Scout the ruined machinery" route. At the first building with a water tunnel, after diving through said tunnel and exiting from the other end, head left and latch onto the green-tinted edge on the outside wall of the building, and climb across to the rear of the building, where a solid platform allows you to drop off safely. Then, use the Swingshot across the gap to the tower with rotating platforms, and wait until it allows you to reach a cave entrance. It will be filled with Gadgetron Hounds of Cuddly Death and two spawners; the platinum bolt is found in the back of the cave.
The second bolt is found during any of the hoverbike race events. Shortly after the starting line, past the blue room filled with water, brake and make a sharp turn to the left to a small area just off the track, where you can find the bolt.
Feltzin System[]
A platinum bolt can be obtained during the challenge "Race Through the Asteroids", by beating the challenge without missing any of the fifty rings. The platinum bolt appears in the last ring at the end of the race.
Notak[]

The first platinum bolt is found along the "Explore the Promenade" path, after the first elevator but prior to the second. Cross the second bridge to the left side (instead of taking the second elevator), and destroy the blue sign with the yellow Megacorp logo located to the right of the building, revealing a platinum bolt behind it.
The second bolt is found by following the "Search Canal City for thief" path directly ahead of the ship. Across the bridge at the start leading to the wharf area, head directly left around to the back of a building. Head along the grass to a gap between this building and a wall behind it, and the platinum bolt is found in this small slot.
The third is found later on the same route. Out on the piers, a Dynamo trigger is mounted on one of the dock areas, just below a high plateau containing a building with explosive barrels in front of a closed door entrance. Defeat the enemies and destroy the barrels around the building first, then run down to the trigger and use the Dynamo to activate it. Immediately run back up to the building. With the door temporarily open, you can quickly enter the room to grab the bolt.
Siberius[]

The first platinum bolt is found on an elevated area on the large structure near the beginning, where MSRs will drop off of. Head past this building and take the elevator down, then use the Tractor Beam to grab the small pillar at the bottom, and take it with you as you ascend the elevator. Move the pillar with you to the edge of the platform, allowing you to reach a balcony on the side of the building and then obtain the platinum bolt within. Alternatively, you can boost jump up at the edge of the platform and grab the higher one at the ledge, after which you can hoist yourself up and grab the bolt.
The second platinum bolt is also found by the elevator. Instead of taking the elevator down, run to the edge on the right, double jump and glide to the gray roof of a building below. Behind the roof is a fence yard, and at the back of another small gray building behind it, the platinum bolt can be found.
Tabora[]

The first platinum bolt is found out in the desert (the area with the desert crystals), in the far northeast of the desert, close to the edge of the map.
The second platinum bolt is found during the mission "Explore the area", when using the Thermanator. In the second pool of water with three blocks in a seesaw-like device, instead of standing on the first block at the front, stand on the third block at the back to make the first rise, then freeze the water. Jump onto the first block, and you will be able to reach the platinum bolt, located in a small opening just to the left.
The last bolt is at the end of the Momentum Glider segment in the "Explore the area" mission. Simply fly through the lava-filled canyon until you reach the end, where you automatically collect it. A teleporter lets you return to the town.
Dobbo[]

The first platinum bolt is obtained on the path of "Repair the power generator", when using the Glider in the inner facility. At the very end of the path, just before reaching the power generator, pull up to the top, and the platinum bolt is located at the top between the highest cross-shaped bars in the room.
The second platinum bolt requires the Spiderbot Glove, and is found near the end of the outside facility path in "Explore the testing facility". After using the Swingshot to reach the building found in the middle of the water (just before reaching the Mathematician), there are a three small rooms accessible from the outer walkways of the building. The first two each have an air vent that is inaccessible to Ratchet or Clank, but a spiderbot can enter and crawl through. The spiderbot can crawl down the vent and then take the path left or right (depending on which vent it came through first) to a closed room with a platinum bolt, and activate a switch that opens the door, allowing Ratchet to obtain it.
Deep Space Disposal Facility[]
A platinum bolt can be obtained during the challenge "Race Through the Disposal Facility", by beating the challenge without missing any of the 65 rings. The platinum bolt appears in the last ring at the end of the race.
Joba[]

The first platinum bolt is found along the path for "Enter the Megacorp Games". After the first area with the turret, progress forward to reach a path alongside a cliff edge, with a wall along the path on the left and empty abyss on the right. Turn right and use the Swingshot to get across to another cliff, then follow the path forward until a door is reached. Step on the switch to open the door, and the platinum bolt is revealed.
The second platinum bolt is found at the end of the "Enter the Megacorp Games" path, with the Levitator pad. Instead of flying forward to the arena, fly straight up to the top of the tall tower on the left, halfway along the path to the arena, and the platinum bolt can be reached at the top.
Todano[]

The first platinum bolt is found at the end of the rocket tour that begins near the landing pad (the "Explore the Weapons Facility" path). Follow the Abercrombie Fizzwidget robot around the tour until it is finished. A door opens to a small room at the end, with the platinum bolt inside, and the robot will head inside and promptly teleport back to the start. Following it is the only way to enter the room and grab the bolt.
The second platinum bolt is found in the "Investigate the facility interior" path, when meeting the Armory Employee in "Bring Qwark Collectible to Armory Employee". To the right of the Armory Employee's stall is a building, with the platinum bolt inside.
Retrieving the third platinum bolt requires use of the Spiderbot Glove. This bolt is found further along the path for "Investigate the facility interior", in the second room with the Inspector Bot, where a large group of Megacorp Troopers warp in below two conveyor belts. A small pillar in between two Megacorp Trooper warp points can be moved to the right and just below a conveyor belt. Use it to jump on the conveyor belt and reach the small air duct at the end. Send a spiderbot through it, and after getting it through the vent, it will reach a room with the platinum bolt, and there is a small red switch on the floor that the spiderbot can activate. This will grant entry into the room with the bolt. As Ratchet, jump onto the second conveyor bolt, and follow it to the room to collect it.
Boldan[]

The first platinum bolt can be found early on when following path for "Find Mr. Fizzwidget", provided the Spiderbot Glove has been purchased. In the first building with the two staircases leading left and right, take the one on the left, then find the glass wall on the right corner, with the platinum bolt behind it. There is a small opening beneath it, through which you can send a spiderbot to activate the switch inside. As Ratchet, head back the same way, then head up the staircase on the right to reach the street; in the left corner is the opposite side end of the wall, which will now be open, allowing you to grab the bolt.
The second platinum bolt is found later along the same path for the aforementioned mission, in a clearing with some enemies and a large amount of crates. Head up the elevator to the top with the Swingshot versa-target, and instead of using it, glide down to the left, to a small platform, with a platinum bolt on top.
- After "Find Mr. Fizzwidget"
The third platinum bolt is found at the end of the "Find Mr. Fizzwidget" path, but can only be obtained after returning to the planet once the mission has been completed. When reaching the shopping mall where Ratchet and Clank were captured after meeting the Fizzwidget robot, use the Swingshot to reach the upper area at the back, and grab the platinum bolt.
Aranos[]

A platinum bolt can be obtained just below the ship's landing pad. A small ledge is located near the bottom of the ship, directly below the landing pad (visible through the glass on the floor), and can be reached by gliding down to it. After grabbing the bolt, you can return to your ship by using the Levitator pad here.
Gorn[]
A platinum bolt can be obtained during the challenge "Race Through the Docking Bays", by beating the challenge without missing any of the 53 rings. The platinum bolt appears in the last ring at the end of the race.
Snivelak[]

A platinum bolt can be found near the large bridge with the armor and weapons vendors. Behind and to the right of the bridge are several Dynamo targets on the wall. Jump and glide down to a platform along the wall, and then use the Dynamo to navigate through the platforms (which either swap platforms or move elevators upward) to reach an opening near the top of the wall with the platinum bolt inside.
Smolg[]

The first platinum bolt is found on the "Explore the docked ships" path (the path right from where the ship lands). After reaching the third Levitator pad, instead of traveling forward to one of the ships, look left and up, and fly all the way up to reach one of the high floating platforms, on which the platinum bolt can be found. it is recommended to angle the camera upwards, as to accurately gauge when you need to stop going forward and solely ascend, to avoid getting stuck beneath the platform.
The second is found along the "Traverse the Warehouse" path. After reaching the first conveyor belt with a box on top, use the Dynamo to activate it and move the box as usual, then jump onto the central stack of crates. Instead of going forward, wall jump between the two crates on either side of you, and then head left (the Heli-Pack may be required to reach it) to eventually reach the bolt on top of a taller stack of boxes.
Damosel[]

The first platinum bolt is found during the main mission "Save the overrun planet". After reaching the downtown bank, head right to the fountain and use the Thermanator to freeze the water. It is then possible to jump on the spout of water, which has frozen and become a grind rail; slide down to a platform where the platinum bolt is found (a taxi will arrive to return back to the bank afterwards).
The second platinum bolt is also found on the "Save the overrun planet" route, but can only be obtained after returning with the Hypnomatic. After reaching the small plaza with the Megacorp pyramid just outside the bank, head to the back of the pyramid and control the Receiver Bot with a Hypnomatic dish on the top of the pyramid, then run it down off the top to ground level and detonate it with 
in the back wall, creating a small opening in the back where the platinum bolt can be obtained.
Grelbin[]

The first platinum bolt is found near the middle of the ice plains where moonstones are obtained, located in between two parallel lines (pictured on the map).
- After "Bring Hypnomatic parts to Hypnotist"
The second platinum bolt is found in the underwater section near the end of the "Find Angela" route. At the end of the underwater section, instead of swimming up to the top, dive and swim to the right down a tunnel. Follow it to the platinum bolt.
The third platinum bolt is found on the "Explore the caves" route, but can only be reached after the Hypnomatic is obtained. To reach it, head to the tunnel behind the armor vendor, and take the second left to see an impassable door, with the Receiver Bot just behind it. Use the Hypnomatic to control the Receiver Bot, and then head left to a cave and activate a switch, taking care to deal with the few Y.E.T.I.s. This will open the door, allowing you to enter as Ratchet and climb the ladder, where the platinum bolt can be found.
Yeedil[]

The first platinum bolt is found at the very beginning. Cross the bridge at the start, and then turn around to face it. Jump on the left-hand rail to equip the Grind Boots automatically and grind along the rails, reaching a platinum bolt at the top.
The second is found near the very end inside the Protopet Factory, just after using the Electrolyzer to repair a moving platform. In the room just behind it, the walls are surrounded by dark gray canisters with orange lights at the bottom; the one on the right (with a slightly different light) can be moved by the Tractor Beam. After it is moved with the Tractor Beam, stairs are revealed behind it, leading to a grind rail. The platinum bolt is obtained by riding the rail.
