Fight Lord Vorselon is a mission in A Crack in Time, taking place in Vorselon's warship in the Korthos Sector. Ratchet encountered Lord Vorselon while attempting to save Alister Azimuth.
Walkthrough[]
Two of Vorselon's attacks are more dangerous compared to the first fight in the Phylax Sector. His attack where he creates a series of orbs that generate small lightning strikes generates much more lightning, and his orb stream attack is faster and more accurate. His tracking beam attack meanwhile is a bit slower, but now creates two beams that rotate outwards from the impact point. When he turns invisible, he will now prefer to attack with a melee combo, which can be difficult to avoid up close. Lastly, his newest attack involves him punching the ground, generating two energy points that home in on you. These can easily be avoided by jumping, but further into the fight, he can create three at once and will create multiple of them in a row.
Vorselon is difficult to disable and lock down for longer than a moment. The Groovitron Glove works, but stops doing so once you attack him, whereas the CryoMine Glove does not even last a second, but both at least will cancel whatever attack he is making at the moment. However, what works relatively well is the Constructo Shotgun combined with the Galvanic Upgrade mod. Lastly, unique to this fight is the presence of a device on the arena's wall that has a fuse that can be pulled with the kinetic tether, generating a fog that temporarily freezes Vorselon.
Since Vorselon has a lot of health, you will likely need all of your weapons to defeat him, as your strongest will run out much sooner than Vorselon's health bar; on the lower difficulty settings, only a small handful of weapons are needed to defeat the boss. When you start to get low on ammo for all your weapons, the arena will generate ammo crates conveniently. Defeating Vorselon will cause the elevator to descend into the center of the room. Take it to the upper platform, then walk around the corridor until you find an open door leading into a laser-filled room. Make your way through to find a large chamber containing the imprisoned Alister, and allowing you to directly continue with the next mission "Free General Azimuth".
