Ratchet & Clank Wiki
The 2016 re-imagined game is primarily an unreliable retelling of events by Qwark.
The re-imagined game primarily describes Captain Qwark's account of events. As Qwark is an unreliable narrator, and contradictory events are in-universe fiction (though those which correspond still apply). Please see Project:Bulletin board/Canon for the wiki's coverage of canon.

Evil Zurkons[1] are enemies in Ratchet & Clank (2016 game) and the movie. They are the latest model of robot created by Dr. Nefarious, used by Chairman Drek and the blarg.

History[]

In the movie, several evil Zurkons were deployed by Zed at the behest of Drek to attack Ratchet, Clank and the Galactic Rangers. They fought several evil Zurkons in the factory on Quartu as they searched for Drek.

Likewise, in the game, evil Zurkons are fought as enemies in the warbot factory at Skorg City, Quartu during "Investigate the factory". To proceed further, Ratchet used the XK-81 Jetpack to fight a giant Mrs. Zurkon in the heart of the factory, which fought alongside several evil zurkons.

Characteristics[]

In the game, evil Zurkons refer to themselves as such and appear the same as Mr. Zurkons, but with red eyes and highlights in place of blue.

In the Ratchet & Clank movie, they appear indistinguishable from standard Mr. Zurkons, and also refer to themselves as Mr. Zurkon.

Combat[]

Evil Zurkons arrive in large waves as they fly towards Ratchet, but are defeated relatively easily, relying on sheer numbers to be a threat.

The Mrs. Zurkon boss deploys waves of evil Zurkons to back her up, occasionally using them to create energy shields, which she then fires towards Ratchet, as well as large area of effect blasts. Ratchet fights Mrs. Zurkon and the surrounding evil Zurkons using the XK-81 Jetpack.

Behind the scenes[]

Zurkons used by Zogg.

Evil Zurkon was voiced by Marc Graue in the game, and by Brian Drummond in the movie.

In Ratchet & Clank (2016 game), an image of an evil Zurkon mistakenly appears on the Zurkon Jr. holocard.

Zurkons also appear as antagonists in the Ratchet & Clank comic series, under the control of Artemis Zogg. These are however not evil Zurkons, but rather standard GrummelNet Mr. Zurkons that Zogg had purchased in bulk.
