Defeat the Blargian Snagglebeast is a mission in Ratchet & Clank, taking place in the Blarg Tactical Research Station in Nebula G34. While searching the station for blarg intel, Ratchet and Clank find themselves in a testing facility for a blargian snagglebeast controlled by Blarg Scientists.
Walkthrough[]
The blargian snagglebeast mostly makes use of close range melee attacks, but is fast enough to charge towards you and close the distance quickly. It can also punch the ground and bring lava under your feet, so ensure that you stay on the move. Finally, it can breathe fire at a long range, which should be avoided by jumping. Make sure also to avoid falling into the lava pits around the area. Every time it loses a third of its health, it will fall back, and flood the area with enemies. After losing the first 35% of its health, it will summon alien swarmers, and after the second 35% is lost, it will summon both swarmers and alien snappers.
The best weapon to wield against it is the Pixelizer, as it will do the most damage at this point, and can be used to catch both the snagglebeast and other enemies in the blast radius. If you acquired the Predator Launcher from "Search the Blarg Warship for weapons" beforehand, it can also be useful. In the middle of its attacks, using the Groovitron will interrupt them, allowing you to attack without needing to dodge. Mr. Zurkon should always be summoned throughout to add to your damage. When other enemies spawn, using the Groovitron to disable them temporarily or using the Proton Drum to clear space from them will give you breathing room to focus fire on the snagglebeast. Switch between weapons that you have ammo for, and when the snagglebeast falls back, clear out all enemies until it returns. Surrounding the arena are crates with nanotech and ammo, so be sure to pick them up when low.
(Note: Players with the pre-order bonus should make use of the Bouncer, as it is the best weapon against the snagglebeast at this stage.)
Eventually, the snagglebeast should fall, and a Blarg Scientist will give Ratchet an infobot to Gaspar. Leave through a door, obtain a holocard set, and eventually you will find a shuttle to return to your ship. You should finish remaining missions in Nebula G34 ("Search the Blarg Warship for weapons" or "Journey outside the airlock"), before traveling to Gaspar for the mission "Fight the Blarg".
