Deadlocked features only two types of vendors, the most common of which are operated by DreadZone. These are shaped as a tetrahedon, with a dark red and orange color scheme, and are used to sell both weapons, ammunition, omega mods, Wrench Upgrades, and alpha mods (in challenge mode). They also have a large logo covering each side and a flat top, out of which pops a rotating hologram screen when the vendor is approached. At least one appears on every battlecourse on each planet, with usually one for each challenge if it was to be done on foot.

Al also has his own workshop, where he sells new weapons, gadgets, as well as damage and armor upgrades for Team Darkstar's combat bots, as well as various visual variations on the standard head design and color scheme. The bot shop is located at his desk in the Containment Suite and features a large screen with the DreadZone logo, where Ratchet is supposed to browse the contents. While doing so each of the combat bots take place on either side of the vendor, in front of two large panels featuring a diagram of their contents.
The only weapons not sold at the DreadZone vendors are the Dual Vipers and Magma Cannon, both of which Ratchet receives as part of his DreadZone participation. Similarly the combat bots come equipped with the Pistol Flux LX and EMP Grenade by default.
