Croid labs are hidden locations throughout Magnus and Phonica Moon. They were built by Dr. Frumpus Croid as secret weapons laboratories during the tharpod war against the collector minions. Entering them requires collecting critters, which accumulate over different playthroughs for each character.
Completing each lab—by helping a critter traverse a tube gauntlet to the end—grants participants bolts and a RYNO VI Protosuit part. There are six labs in total, and completion of each unlocks the RYNO VI Protosuit. If a lab was missed, it is possible to level select to return and play it again, so as not to miss the RYNO VI Protosuit part.

Aldaros Plains[]
Two Croid labs are found in the Aldaros Plains.
The first Croid lab is located in the Outside Receiving Station level of Aldaros Plains. After defeating a group of Rift-Jumper Minions and two Scout Minions, use a set of Springshots to ascend to another plateau where you land directly in front of the lab.
Use the Vac-U on the plunger to allow a critter to enter the tube. Run ahead of it and simultaneously activate two more plungers to lower a pair of tube sections, enabling the critter to reach the end safely.
The second lab is in the Village Outskirts at the start of the level. Cross the moving platforms and, upon reaching unstable ground at the end, go right to find the lab just off-screen.
Use the Glob Lobber to lower a tube section, which also reveals a plunger to release the critter. Follow it and use another plunger to raise a tube section. Cross the gap and use a third plunger to lower the platform, releasing it once a teammate steps onto it. Finally, use the Hookshot to follow, cross another gap with the Vac-U, and complete the lab by using the Glob Lobber on the final two tube sections.
Deadgrove[]
The third Croid lab is at the start of the Mining Camp in the Deadgrove. Walk forward past the cluster cannon and jump down the ledge to locate it.
Toss a teammate across the gap and let them use the plunger, then hit the two Slambots in sequence. Use a mortar toss on the third Slambot to extend a bridge. Use another mortar toss to lower a barrier, then use the versa-targets to reach a Spinshot. Finally, hit the three Slambots at the end to complete the lab.
Octonok Cay[]
The fourth lab is inside the Reef Shallows area of Octonok Cay. Direct your raft through the waters until you encounter your second tortemoth. Follow it and destroy the mines on the right, which will remove the ship blocking the passage. Enter the ship; the lab entry is on your left.
Release the critter first, then hit the Slambot to release a voltergeist, which will extend a bridge when thrown into the nearby socket. Run ahead of the critter and repeat the Slambot–voltergeist combo twice to extend a second bridge. Use the cluster cannon ahead to reach a third Slambot–voltergeist setup. Toss a teammate across to catch the voltergeist, which will then toss it back to you.
Use a plunger to lower a tube section, which also triggers a group of Rift-Jumpers. Defeat them, then complete the lab by finishing the final Slambot–voltergeist puzzle combo.
Phonica Moon[]
The fifth lab is located in the Security Tunnels segment of Phonica Moon. At the end of the first chamber, after completing numerous puzzles, you are meant to step onto a platform. Instead, ignore it and head in the opposite direction to encounter the lab.
Rush ahead of the critter after releasing it—quickly tossing a teammate across the gap and using the Hookshot to follow. Jumping here triggers several Rift-Jumpers; meanwhile, someone must use a plunger to let the critter cross safely. Use the Vac-U to cross a second gap, then hit the first Slambot and use the Hookshot across before hitting the remaining ones. Wait briefly for the critter to catch up, as it will operate a wheel at the end of its path.
The critter's actions allow you to continue and hit a Slambot with a mortar toss, revealing trampolines. At the top, hit a Slambot to spawn a voltergeist, and use the Glob Lobber to lower a panel that reveals a socket. Use the Spinshot to reach the end, where you must hit three Slambots to disable the heaters and allow the critter safe passage.
Uzo City[]
The sixth and final lab is located in the city section of Uzo City. After defeating the ion turret enemy and using the elevator, go left to immediately find the lab.
The final lab features devices from Terawatt Forest. One player must use the device to connect two tower amplifiers, completing the circuit and lowering a tube section. Use the catapult to reach another platform, where you need to move an ion conduit into a nearby socket and activate the van to reveal a Slambot. Hit it with a mortar toss, which spawns an entirely new section. At least one player must take each of the lower and upper paths.
The lower player must use the Vac-U on the fan to lift the glass tubes around the amplifiers, while the upper player connects the two with their tesla orb. Both can then use a catapult to reach a third section. This time, the team must split between the left and right paths and activate the amplifiers on each side in sequence to grant further passage.
Quickly ascend and hit the last Slambot with a mortar toss to lower the final tube segment.
