A Codebot
Ratchet obtaining the Codebot
The Codebot was an item in Ratchet & Clank that was found very much in the same way as the Bolt Grabber. Ratchet acquired it on Drek's Fleet, by swimming past underwater obstacles. The Codebot allowed the Lombax to open 'invicovaults', of which there was only one in the entire game (and for that matter, the entire series), on planet Quartu. Although codebots were never officially used again for the duration of the series, they bore a slight resemblance to the Battery Bots in A Crack in Time, and even operated and functioned exactly the same: by screwing into a hole on the side of a locked door.
