Cerullean swarmers[1] are enemies in Tools of Destruction and Before the Nexus, They are small, aggressive creatures that use their teeth to attack. Named for the Cerullean Sector, Cerullean swarmers are found in locations throughout the sector, such as on Cobalia as well as others in the Polaris Galaxy. They are often found alongside Cerullean centipedes, and found near gelatonium plants.
An alternate dimensional counterpart to them called the Antara swarmer appeared in Rift Apart. Antara swarmers appear on Torren IV and Ardolis. These are harmless creatures that simply scurry around collecting food, but can be killed and drop bolts upon death.[2]
History[]
Ratchet first fought Cerullean swarmers during "Explore Cobalia" and throughout the planet. They were found alongside the centipedes and basilisk leviathans. Ratchet again found the same groups of enemies around the Nundac Asteroid Ring when gathering leviathan souls in "Make a Trade with the Smuggler". Finally, in "Search the Gel Facility", Ratchet found a few in the underground gel plant near Kerchu City, Jasindu.
In Before the Nexus, Ratchet fought a few around Terachnos.

Cerullean swarmers have four-legged beetle-like bodies with large heads. They attack using their sharp teeth. Swarmers are found in groups, and have relatively quick movement.
Combat[]
Cerullean swarmers have relatively low armor and can be dispatched with a few hits. Their only danger comes in numbers, in which they can overwhelm Ratchet if he allows it. Weapons such as the Fusion Grenade, Shock Ravager, and Nano-Swarmers that can dispatch a group of enemies are ideal against them.
