Cerullean centipedes are enemies in Tools of Destruction. They are multi-legged insectoids which appear in the Cerullean Sector, specifically on Cobalia and in the Nundac Asteroid Ring, often alongside Cerullean swarmers.
Cerullean centipedes live underground, but will crawl out to attack nearby prey. They fire stomach acids at targets, with medium range but high accuracy. They only attack after rearing up, and spit in an arc up to three times, after which they move to another position to repeat this. If they manage to hit Ratchet they will laugh to themselves. Outside of the spit attack they are entirely harmless.
With hard outer shells, they are considerably durable enemies. Strafing around their acid attacks is best to avoid damage, and blasting them from a distance with weapons that can focus on a single enemy (namely the Combuster and later the Predator Launcher) is best against them. Against larger groups the Fusion Grenade and Plasma Beasts are viable alternatives.
