The Bombardier is a weapon in Rift Apart. It is an automated drone that, when deployed, flies above the ground and throws bombs at enemies below. The Bombardier is effectively a support weapon that can supplement Ratchet or Rivet's damage, but is not a substitute for a more active weapon.
The weapon can be purchased from Mrs. Zurkon at Zurkie's, Scarstu Debris Field after returning during "Build the Dimensionator", for 25,000 bolts. At level 5, it upgrades to the Bomb Voyage. In challenge mode, the Omega Bomb Voyage can be purchased for 400,000 bolts.

Gameplay[]
When deployed, the Bombardier will move forward throughout the air and fire bombs targeted towards enemies along its path. Being an auomated drone, the Bombardier provides great complementary damage to Ratchet or Rivet's arsenal, but does not deal enough damage quickly on its own to be a substitute for their weaponry. Aside from flying enemies, the Bombardier is effective against most threats.
The raritanium upgrades substantially improve the Bombardier. Improving its fire rate in particular is effective, as are both bonus upgrades to grant more ammo and allow more drones to be deployed at once, as these upgrades will significantly improve the value and damage dealt by the weapon. The drawback is that a sizable raritanium investment is needed to get the most out of the weapon.
Once fully upgraded with XP, it becomes the Bomb Voyage, which improves the weapon by causing the main drone to explode into cluster bombs upon expiring. The Bombardier can be used well with other support weapons, such as the Glove of Doom, Mr. Fungi, and the Topiary Sprinkler to great effect, particularly at dealing with difficult combat situations where a single weapon will not cut it. However, especially without investing in its upgrades, the Bombardier's damage on its own is subpar.
