Template:Appearances The Bolt Grabber is an item in Ratchet & Clank, Up Your Arsenal (as the Bolt Grabber V2), Size Matters, Secret Agent Clank, Ratchet & Clank (2016 game), and a temporary power-up All 4 One. It is a device that allows Ratchet to pick up bolts from an extended range. In later appearances, it also allows Ratchet to smash crates and nearby breakable objects by slamming the OmniWrench down, performing a hyper-strike, merging its functionality with the Box Breaker or Box Basher 2000 items. It is one of Gadgetron's most popular gadgets.[1]
In the original Ratchet & Clank, it can be found in the coolant system on planet Quartu during "Explore the coolant system". In Up Your Arsenal, the Bolt Grabber V2, a combination of the original Bolt Grabber and the Box Breaker, can be found near the concourse level of Zeldrin Starport when visited during "Rendezvous with Qwark", allowing Ratchet to destroy crates with a hyper-strike and also extending pickup range. In Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank, the original Bolt Grabber appears, and in Size Matters the Box Breaker can again be obtained separately.
In Going Commando, the Bolt Grabber is replaced with Megacorp's Armor Magnetizer, and the Box Breaker can also be found. The Armor Magnetizer also appears in Tools of Destruction and A Crack in Time.
The Bolt Grabber power-up in All 4 One multiplies the amount of bolts obtained during the time limit by two temporarily, similar to the Jackpot crates.
