Blarg bombers are vehicles in Ratchet & Clank, piloted by the blarg and used by Drek Industries. They are fighter-bombers with the appearance of a black airplane with a red accent and bombs attached under their wings, which they drop on enemies below.
History[]
Blarg bombers were sent to Novalis and Oltanis during invasions by Drek Industries. In "Find a new ship", one dropped bombs on the bridge between the two Tobruk Crater areas, damaging it while Ratchet and Clank were making their way to the Novalis chairman, Agnogg Buckwash. Later, while blarg bombers bombed Gorda City on Oltanis, after the missions "Find the survivors of the blarg attack", "Search the destroyed city", and "Purchase Gadgetron PDA from 'Steve'" were complete, a bomber destroyed the statue located on the central plaza platform, revealing a button underneath that deployed versa-targets for the Swingshot, which would allow Ratchet to reach a secret area.
Behind the scenes[]
Blarg bombers are not fought in gameplay, but are seen in the skies of Novalis and Oltanis. In the 2016 re-imagined game, they are replaced by blarg saucers, and a saucer instead is responsible for damaging the same bridge on Novalis.
