The Apogee Industries Communication Pod, or simply Apogee Pod, is a vendor featured in All 4 One. Deployed by Cronk and Zephyr on planet Magnus, these pods serve as communication hubs and supply stations for Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark, and Dr. Nefarious. They typically appear at the start of a level, launching from space and deploying upon landing to allow access for up to four players.
The Apogee Pod menu
Only one player is required to activate the pod, which forces all players into the menu. However, exiting the menu requires all players to do so. The pods exclusively sell weapons and upgrades, but not ammunition.
All 4 One features no other vendors, apart from the identical weapon kiosks in Luminopolis, established under Qwark's "Friendship Through Firepower" initiative during his presidency.[1]
While the pods appear to sell weapons, they technically function as distribution points. Once players wire the required bolts, Cronk and Zephyr establish a com-link to GrummelNet Industries, facilitating the weapon transfer.[2]
Pricing[]
The Combuster is provided for free, while all other weapons must be purchased, except for the RYNO VI Protosuit, which is unlocked by completing all six Croid labs. The total cost for all weapons is 111,000 bolts, while fully upgrading them requires 800,000 bolts.
Purchasing and upgrading weapons will unlock these trophies; "Friendship through Firepower" is earned when you buy your first weapon, while "Upping your Arsenal" and "For the Zombie Apocalypse" are awarded for buying half and all of the available weapons, respectively. Upgrading a single weapon fully unlocks "Tricked Out", and upgrading all weapons to their maximum level grants the "Upgraded" trophy.
