Abner Buckwash,[1] mostly referred to as the Novalis Chairman or the Mayor, was the official for the planet of Novalis. He was an elderly man who was easily frightened. The Chairman held a walking stick, and being part of the Solanian species, he had blue skin and black spikes on his head.
Biography
Ratchet & Clank
Buckwash was first seen aboard Drek's ship, meeting with Drek, who was explaining his destructive plans for Novalis. The chairman was highly against this and said that Qwark would stop him. This made Drek laugh, as unbeknownst to the chairman, Qwark was working for him. Following this, Drek's Robot Lieutenant took the chairman away to be tortured. He was then taken to Tobruk Crater in a prison ship. There, he was saved by Ratchet and Clank, who he was initially scared of. The chairman gave the duo an Infobot for Metropolis, and after Ratchet and Clank explained who they were, the Chairman gave them a Courier Ship.
Up Your Arsenal
Buckwash was seen watching the Secret Agent Clank premiere at the end of Up Your Arsenal. He appeared to have aged a little over the two years, as his eyebrows and mustache appeared grey instead of black.
